Furball was happy & purry this morning. She's feeling pretty good. However, her ear is still bothering her a little bit. The place where she scratched herself still has some pus coming out of it. I am still treating it with the homeopathic remedies. It is slowly getting better.

Baby is feeling good too.

Sending prayers for those in need and missing their furbabies. :bighug::bighug:

Hi Carla!
Have you tried this? I use it even on myself ( the exact stuff is sold for people under a different package)
I swear by it..
I buy the horse one ( again it's all the exact same stuff just different label) cuz it's a bigger quantity and cheaper by the ounce

Hi Carla,
I'm glad that Furball is feeling good, but sorry that her ear is still not quite better. Hopefully Les's remedy will work.
Hugs and scritches,

Thanks Les. I have some of that, but since it's inside her ear it's hard to spray something on it. I hope you are recovering nicely from your surgery.

Hi Carla! Happy to hear that Furball is doing well OTJ and that Baby is feeling well too! Have you tried polysporin on Furball's ear?

It's always good to hear about a happy purry cat! However sorry that Furball's ear still bothering her. I wish I had a good idea of something to recommend to help it heal faster :(. Sometimes it seems the homeopathic remedies can take a little longer, but I do like using them when I can as well!

Hope lil Furball's ear feels better soon but glad she's feeling and looking good in :D:D:D Scritches for both Furball and Baby.

Hope Furball's ear feels better. It's slow going re these dang ear "things."
Glad everyone doing well even with Furball's vexing ear in the mix. Have a pleasant weekend, Carla :bighug::):bighug:

I wonder what an ENT doctor would suggest for a human (child). That can't be good that it continues to linger. How old is Furball? Poor baby.

Glad to hear that Furball and Baby are doing well, with the exception of Furball's poor lil' ear. Could you maybe spray the Vetericyn on a q-tip and then apply it to her ear? I hope it heals soon, I know you've been dealing with it for a while now. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Furball is a stray that I took in. Her age is estimated to be about 13 years old. This has been going on for quite a while because the vet and I first thought she had an inner ear infection and were treating it as that. Then I realized the pus was coming from a scratch on her ear and not from the inner ear. I'm hoping the homeopathic treatments clear it up eventually. It is slowly getting better. The many ABs she went through didn't do anything. Thankfully she seems to feel good and it only bothers her every now and then.

I am glad it only bothers her occasionally. I am sure you have tried aloe vera? The gel drys and leave a "skin" of sorts.

I've not tried aloe vera. I've read mixed reviews about whether it is safe for cats.
But could she get to it to injest it? I have read the same thing with neosporium (not safe for cats). When they took Gizmo's fentanyl patch off it left a nasty "rug burn" type of sore that bothered him. I searched and search to see if I could use the neosporium. I know others here give aloe juice for tummy issues.

Here is what Tanya's site says
http://felinecrf.org/holistic_treatments.htm#aloe_vera

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a plant with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which historically has been used in humans for skin conditions and for constipation. Human studies have indicated that it may have cancer fighting effects, however long term use may cause cancer according to one study in rats and mice.

The outer part of the plant is toxic to cats but the inner part is safe.

Aloe juice made from the inner leaf contains anthraquinone, a stimulant laxative. In 2002 the US Food and Drug Administrationissued a final ruling stating that "the stimulant laxative ingredients aloe (including aloe extract and aloe flower extract)...in over-the- counter (OTC) drug products are not generally recognized as safe and effective or are misbranded."

I consider there are much better, gentler and, bearing in mind the need to source a product that is definitely not toxic to cats, safer treatments for constipation and would not give aloe vera juice to my cat.

IDK. Just a suggestion :bighug:
