Hi,
Today, after the test at +2 I decided not to go out to work, fortunatly. I realised that the BG trend is downward and I tested him only 2 hours.
At +6 I started to test every half on hour:
+6.5 99, +7 100, ,
+7.5 72, +8 81
+8.5 88, +9 105
Therefore ,I decrease the dose at 1.5, I hope he will not another big drop this night or a bounce tommorow, I am realy a littlle scared, he ate a little amount of food at PMPS.
Thank you for opinions and advices.

Congrats on the reduction.

As you fed late in the cycle (because of the low numbers) that might have put the brakes on the insulin and resulted in that jump up to yellow, or he may be bouncing.
If it's the result of food, you might find that once the new shot onsets his numbers will drop, so I would get a test in this evening at +2 and +3 to see what Tilica has planned for tonight, remember that the depot of the larger dose can still be influencing this pm cycle.

Though those numbers were scary for you, they were entirely in the normal range for a healthy cat.

Hi George, I'll test him at +2 as usually but I wish not to be a fast drop mainly that he refuses food, I think he is full.
After half an hour a +2 I have to do the test:nailbiting:

UPDATE +2 334 he is BOUNCING, I didn't get rid of what I was afriad of.:banghead:
He's a bouncy cat so this is no surprise. Don't be afraid of the bounces, Andreea. They're an obstacle you have to work around, that's all. Judge a dose when you see how low he goes on it and ignore the bounce inflated numbers. Count the number of bounce cycles that happen after blues and greens so you have an idea of when to expect him to show what a dose can actually do.

Kris, we know that our cats loves the pink, but I was hoping that he will stay up to 300. I 'd like to set him between 70-300, but it seems that's imposible. For the moment I have to keep 1.5u. It would be a progess for me if I succeed to fix him 70-300, it would be a little step forward.

I avoid setting a range like that for Teasel because I know he'll go above or below it. I don't even think too much about the actual numbers, only whether I see more blue and, if I'm lucky, dark green on his SS. This keeps me calmer and happier. :)
