Thank you. Me too. :)

He had a few red squares today. Not good. He had 8 cycles at 2.5 with no downward movement. I moved him to 3 instead of 2.75 since the consensus on here was that his initial Lantus dose should have been much higher than 2 anyway.

Paws crossed that I'll be seeing yellow squares in the near future.

I was willing to wait til Friday for the increase like my vet suggested - until I got reds today. I can't feel like I'm either stuck or going backwards with him anymore.

I'll check him hourly before bed tonight. One hour postdose reading shortly. :)
 
I think it was safe to increase. And hopefully doing it sooner will cut back on the glucose toxicity.

How is the clindamycin dosing going?

I was going to up him last night til the vet said no. I love his vet, so I listened to her instead of my gut (and like 4 different people on here).

He absolutely hates the clindamycin. He's agreeable to everything else except that. He's supposed to get 4mls once a day. That dose is so huge I have to split it into 2ml bid to get it in him. At least it's only a few more days. Poor thing. No diarrhea. Stool was soft, but not alarming. Probiotic starts tomorrow as soon as Amazon shows up.
