Definitely retest in 20-30 minutes. When Chino is diving, I generally base my decision of what to give and how frequently to test on how fast his BG is dropping. If it's gone down 70 mg/dL in the last hour and he's at 120 or below, I know I can't wait another hour or he might be hypoglycemic. Then again, he's only recently started giving my numbers that need to be boosted with food, so you might get a better answer from someone else, but I try to base my actions on how quickly he has responded in the past to LC/MC/HC.
 
Ok, that makes a lot of sense. He hasn't dropped far because he started low this AMPS.
Thank you for responding, pooor guy is screaming for more food but I don't want to fill him up.
 
To add to that... the first time I had to deal with this, I was advised that it takes 20-30 minutes for it to get into the bloodstream. Since he's already under 50, I would test 20 minutes after feeding and continue that way until the BG is back above 50.
 
YES! When I got a minute I checked the box in the basement and there was something decent sized. I will keep on with the Lactulose for a bit, I know there is more in there that needs to get out. Maybe that helped his numbers drop finally, poor guy :(

Honestly I shouldn't have been surprised AND I should've checked sooner but I was at work and got back home as close to +2 as I could.
Also, I stalled this morning for a half an hour because of the 64. I knew he was dropping since last night. I would've shot that 64 if it was at night or on the weekend, but I was too nervous to leave him and go to work even for a couple of hours.

Looks like the little gut is surfing safely.
I'll see if he wants to eat a little more and put some in the feeder, go back to work for a couple of hours and reduce tonight?
