Jack is keeping me on my toes as usual. I was ready to give him a little extra juice after a lot of yellow and a few pinks even with some R. That was until Sunday night when he dropped much lower then I would like. I saw a drop coming and set my alarm and completely missed it, grrr.

With an AMBG yesterday of 31:nailbiting:, it was definitely a skipped shot. Jack was quite happy with the extra food and early lunch.

He seems to have these 1 day events and then goes back to higher numbers. I'm guessing the IAA has a little die-off since they are so sudden. If the acro tumor was pulsing, I would think it would be more gradual and last longer. Initially I kept him at the same dose without the R, but he dropped pretty good last night, even after the skip so this AM I gave him a reduction. The dance continues!

+3 and sitting at 121, could be another day of pokies and carbs for the boy. We will see where the day goes and what HIS plans are, cause he sure ain't listening to his bean!

My dad had some minor surgery this AM and everything went well. For the next 4-6 weeks, he is not supposed to lift more then 4 pounds... Looks like I have another kid to take care of for a few weeks:) Glad I'm close by and can help out. 4 pounds.... sheesh, poor guy can't even grab the milk out of the fridge unless it is in a small container.

Hope all the kitties and beans are doing good today.:cat:

Shooting through the bounce last night was OK but sure glad you gave him a reducie this morning. It stinks when they are pink and yellow on a dose and then throws a surprise 30's number. Have to take that reducie in the 30's. Surf safely Jack!

You're plate sure is full but good you're able to help out with your Dad and hope he has a speedy recovery.

It was more to refill the depot a bit after a complete skip. I can't recall his last complete skip, but he sure needed it yesterday and I'm glad I did.
He is one challenging cat, where the same dose gets me anywhere from 30's to 400's. When the rotten capt is at the helm, stay seated and keep your belts fastened, no telling what he is going to do.

It will be some extra work helping out the old man, but I am glad I have the ability to do so. When my mom got sick, I quit my job to move back to be with family. There's always another job, but never another family.

Jack, that 31 was completely unnecessary! The randomness of IAA is definitely tricky to manage but you are doing a great job. I agree that the acro tumour changes don't seem quite so abrupt.

Healing vines for your dad. I hope he's good at obeying doctor's orders.

I see Jack is keeping you on your toes. I hope he surfs safely today. Sending prayers for a quick recovery for your dad.

Looks like Jack is on a mission again, it's a little early for him to be dropping. Feeding the curve a bit since I will be going to visit Dad at the hospital a little later today. After yesterday, I think he proved his point, but it looks like he wants to make sure I got the message today.

I had a fun conversation with the VA. Since he is waiting for a room to open up, they have no record of him there.... I'm telling the nurse, the surgeon called me already, trust me he is there! Eventually they found him:facepalm:. The outpatient nurse was super nice and even let me chat with him briefly, he was surprisingly coherent for only being awake for 3 hours after anesthesia.

I hope he's good at obeying doctor's orders.
That might be interesting. Generally he is good, but he is not a TV or book guy and that much bed rest might make him a little loony. I have a feeling he will be playing table tennis before he should. I'll have to make sure to keep his fridge stocked and yard cleaned to remove as many temptations as I can:D.

I'm keeping him surfing but not without a good amount of carbs. Just had to open the 2nd can of gravy lovers. 5tsp of hc an hour is keeping him pretty flat which normally would have him rising so it is a pretty active cycle.

Any thoughts on where he is headed? I'm not sure if keeping the 30u dose is a good idea or if another reduction is in order. He has gone under 70 which is his new reduction point, and would be under 50 without a lot of carbs. Yesterday amps was a skip, pmps was 33u, and amps this am was 30u.

I'm leaning towards another 3u reduction tonight after today's rather active cycle. That is pretty quick for reductions, but with acro/iaa, Jack goes up and down the dosing ladder quick.

Looks like his carbs are finally wearing off, he is dropping just a bit now after surfing without food for a few hours. Shot time in an hour, might be a tad late, visiting dad now.

I'm thinking of dropping from 30u today to 27u for the pmps dose. I know the depot hasn't stabilized, but with yesterdays skip, it probably had drained a bit on its own. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Eeeks, he's such a rotten kitty cat. IDK, going down to 27 might be a wee too much IMO but Jack is Jack and better to go up if needed. I honestly don't think much of the depot drained from the skip followed up with 33u last night. However he has been eating HC food all day :banghead: If I flip a coin something says 28u but what ever you feel is best will be fine.
