I have a question. Oh, I feel like I just did something wrong. After I give Peanut his injection, I've gotten into this habit of pulling the syringe out and then pushing the plunger down on the syringe to see if anything comes out, I guess to see if anything was left over and didn't get injected. Sometimes I'll see a drop of insulin and sometimes nothing at all but this time I saw a watered down drop of blood. I'm concerned now that I might have injected him into a vein or into the muscle. He didn't act any different while I was injecting, like as if there was pain or anything but I did feel something different as in a different texture when the needle went in. I inject him into the scruff area and I often grab the area several times until I feel that I have the perfect grab before I stick him, and I also use 8mm needles. Sometimes like today when I feel that different texture as the needle goes in, I will just pull it out and re-stick him but I always feel so bad about doing that and against my better judgement, I decided not to re-stick him this time. What do you think that I should do? Or what do you think happened?
