Newly diagnosed - taking it a day at a time

Hello, my name is Jane, my diabetic cat is Sebastian. He's 12 years old and was diagnosed 3 days ago, his BG was 573 but no other health problems. The biggest struggle for me right now is to improve his eating. I just gave him his first injection and we both did great. I've been so worried, but now I'm relieved. I know I have so much to learn, and I'm so happy to have found this site. Just taking it one day at time. Thanks for being there!
