I'm so discouraged. This is ridiculous.

She is bouncing from the beautiful blues yesterday.

How is Eleanor feeling? Is she eating better?

I just don't understand why she bounces like this, her numbers never level out, the dose goes up and down...she didn't used to be like this. Maybe the person who told me I'm insane is right - maybe I should switch to a different insulin.
She feels better, but is pooping frequently, which means the runnies are going to start again. She eats some on her own but not all.
She played a little bit last night! And had a workout on her scratching post, so she is feeling better.

Julie please don't get down on yourself. Every cat does not achieve remission; in fact, most don't. You must be doing something right because Eleanor is still with you and she has been diabetic 5 years. I know it's easy to be discouraged but please hang in there.

I also have an extremely bouncy kitty. We can drive ourselves nuts trying to find out why but kitties like ours just do what they do. I've made my peace with it - I had to for my own peace of mind.

We could never get Zener's numbers to level out either. Some cats are just like that. I guarantee you that you are making a huge difference in Eleanor's quality of life. I have incredible respect for you, for taking such great care of her in very trying circumstances.

I couldn't get control of Punkin's blood sugar either - a major part of that was because of his acro, and that I'd had a couple of people telling me not to let him get into green numbers - an outdated view of cats with acromegaly.

In any case, Eleanor's doing amazingly well. She's plugging away - 5 years is nothing to sneeze at! You've done really well for her.
