Ok... I think he should be fine. He usually starts increasing at this point, and hopefully the snack at 2pm will push him up just enough.

He seems fine... he is napping (which in not UNusual for him), but he very responsive when I pet him and such.

*fingers crossed*

+11 (plus 5 minutes lol) = 66!!!!

Idk what i will do come shot time... i stalled this morning so i am 30 minutes off schedule already.

I could stay up, but I'm more worried about him and his ears.

What is he doesn't start going up? If the 3.5 dropped him like this from 130 this morning, what could it do now?? *having minor freakout*

A lot of times cats will surf when you shoot low. They don't always drop like when you shoot a higher number. Do you put Neosporin with pain relief on his ears? I always put a tiny dab on Furball's ear after each test.

I do put Neosporin, but not after every test.

I think I'll go for the skip option. Both cats are waiting very patiently for dinner... but I think it's wearing thin LOL

I'll give it another 10 minutes though and test at true +12

He has a 50% chance he will start to rise from being in lower numbers all day and bounce. Also, when they are starting in lower numbers they stay flat and do not drop like they do when you start in a higher number. If you can stay up and have plenty of test strips and higher carb food, you could shoot. We say shoot anything over 50. But, you hold the syringe.

PMPS 72, 3.5u given at 6:40PM est

(Here is his history today in a nutshell... doesn't include all the tests:
AMPS 130, +1.5=76, +2.75=52, +3.5=51, +7=57, +11=66, +11.5=66)

*fingers crossed* I am actually hope he keeps coming up some and the insulin prevents the bouncing too much.

These are for you! Titanium! Your lowest pre shot ever. Get a +1 and +2. You know what to do ;)

Remember, tomorrow you can shot 30 minutes earlier to get back on schedule ( only if his numbers are not too low) or you can shot 15 minutes earlier in the AM and the PM to get back on your shooting schedule.

I have the gravy lovers ready! And another MC opened from this morning. I purposely didn't give him ALL of his normal food because I want him to ready to eat at +1 if needed. If he keeps going up, then I'll add it to his snacks. (Which I also didn't set up yet.)

Yeah, as long as I can in the morning, I'll start moving them backwards... I need him closer to 6pm by his Thur PM.

So he is surfing. NO food hike. When is his next scheduled snack? If too far away, give him a little LC food ( a tsp of so ) to keep him surfing.

I missed this +1.5 , so since he is rising, I would wait till +3 when the Lantus usually onsets. If he is still rising you might be good to get a test in before you go to bed and call it a night.
Haha, i just saw this..

Tested at +2and he is at 108, so still rising.

Ill wait till +3 to test again and determine his snacks for the remainder of the night.

Just peaked and he's at 143 @+3. It's not surprising that he'd bounce after today's green cycle. He might continue to rise through tomorrow's AMPS. You want to hold the 3.5 dose tomorrow regardless. Sleep tight Cass.

First thing I've. Done this morning is come visit, I was curious as to what his pmps would be. Those BOS were well earned, I'm glad you shot.

What a beautiful am cycle from Gordy, that's the longest run in green he's had so far.:D:D:D

Hope you get a good night's rest, and Gordy's eat recover. While he gets a bit of a pokey break. Here in Europe we can't get neosporin, so to look after BFG's ears I would apply gentle pressure with a cold cotton pad for about 10sec, when I started doing that it did seem to really help his ears, and if you've ever looked at his ss, you can see that I tested a lot.

Just wanted to clarify, was all the food MC? I thought you said it was 20% in the food chart? Or just the stuff you gave him before you left for work and in the autofeeder?

I do the cotton pad already and I agree it seems to help :)

The FF cheese ones I have are 20 carbs, but the gravy lover I had apparently is 15, making it a MC, right? It was just used as the last snack I had given him before leaving for work, everything else before that was the higher one.

:)
