Tribby seems to feel a bit better then she did! One small bout of Diarhhea today after a battle to get her to take her 2 pills this am. She did NOT want them!
I'm usually pretty good at giving meds but she fought hard then felt yucky after.
I'm going to pick up a pill shooter and some pill pocket treats today. She's on 3 pills a day for a week then 2 pills a day after. Wish me luck!
Any pill giving tips? She's usually no problem but not today! Somehow my forehead was scratched.

Question about BGL. Her level was 9.8 last night. I wasn't sure if I should inject her insulin. She's had 2 hypos this week.
I did 1u because she gets steroids and flagyl at night and both raise her BGL. She was 14.6 this am.
My vet thinks that once her IBS is under control her BGL will regulate more.

Poor kitteh. I feel so bad for her.

Only things I can think of is what you're doing! lol. If I remember correctly, when they go very low / hypo they are more insulin sensitive because their body used up all natural insulin reserves. There was someone else who got their kitty's IBS / IBD under control and saw a major improvement in BG numbers... Let me look and will edit :)

If I've asked before, forgive me. Would you consider setting up a spreadsheet like we use here?

She might still be without computer at home. Think she was printing blank SS at the library and hand writing numbers / notes. At least when she joined that was the reason. :) Wonder if she has a smartphone :woot:. Didn't even think about that until now haha.

Thanks for reminding me. :)

The pill shooter was a life saver for me. I could not pill Leo at all until I got the pill shooter. If I catch him off guard with it he doesn't know what hit him and swallows right away. One of his meds I pulverize into a powder and mix into his wet food at night. Other times I've had things compounded into a liquid and mix that into his food also. I had to be creative and have compounding pet pharmacies help me out. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to get a non compliant cat to take his meds.

I have 2 that get pills--my 1 gets them with a dab of butter and the 1 with fd gets a dab of vaseline which works better and helps him poo!
