Starting a new thread for the week with the best cycle yet!

I was out and am just seeing this now. I think the fat 1 u will be OK. Do a few tests this evening. His reading before meal was 162 so I gave fat 1.0U. Will get a +2 and decide how close to monitor overnight.
Not sure what to say other than watch him the rest of the day and don't cancel the vet appointment just yet. See how he does overnight.Maury started off with a weird day today, has me worried of course! He barely touched his lunch from last night and his YA dry. Seems like he was feeling a little nausea at breakfast. Meowed like he was hungry, came and sat next to me while I prepared it, but when I sat it down for him he came over, sniffed it and took 1 or 2 bites and walked away. Was a slight wobble too. Went over a couple times to eat more and got less than half eaten and kind of looked disappointed.
Around his +3 he ate a few pieces of YA and his Friskies. Shortly after his test (maybe 30-45 mins), he threw up his treat. He was meowing a little, pacing around me, pawing at the blinds (usually his way of really getting my attention), licking the curtain. I may be reading too much into it but I feel like he was really trying to let me know something. I have a Vet appointment tomorrow morning but I don't know how much them checking his vitals will tell without additional tests. I don't even know what tests they would run.
This behaviour lasted about 4.5 hours. I got his lunch ready around +4, same thing with being excited to hear me getting it ready but set it down, sniff and walk away. He calmed down to his usual self and went to settle on his condo by the window. I served him lunch on the window sill and he ate almost all of it. Since then it's like nothing happened. I'm continuing to watch him to see if it happens again but I am torn if I should keep that appointment. I do feel guilty that I may not have caught his diabetes as early as I could have so if this sign is something starting, I want to catch it early.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
Or bouncing ...His numbers for today indicate a fur shot![]()
What is wrong with tap water??Cancelled the Vet appointment since there were no further issues. I have a feeling it may have been something in the tap water so I used the water from the filtered water pitcher. I can't drink the tap water. Woke up in the night so I figured I should go check on him in case it was a sign and he didn't come upstairs at all. He was high but I was glad to see he had dropped 66 points by AMPS all by himself!Stuck with the F2.5 again and we're having a gentle curve. Thanks for checking in

PMPS: 69 on AT2. Going to give dinner with 1T HC FF gravy lovers. No shot tonight. Didn't want to try and stall with this reading. Will test at +2 unless I feel the need to test earlier. No more odd behaviour just really affectionate and even had a good play session![]()
That was a definite no shot number!!Phoebes, there are minerals and chlorine in my tap water (and most others), so they (the water people) may have added something else or too much chlorine and it bothered him. I have to drink filtered water from my Brita pitcher because I grew up on well water. It's the only thing I changed for him and he went back to eating his food. Never used to bother him, so might just have to wait for whatever is in it to pass through.
Yes Rachel, I'm just hoping he doesn't bounce too high. Going to test around +8 to see how he's doing.
The 2.75 u or thereabouts seems to be the good dose. I think they can "wobble" a bit around the narrow good dose range. Teasel is doing this to me now. Sometimes the approximate good dose will generate only blues as lows and sometimes a lime green. It's frustrating but seems to go hand in hand with bounciness. It's like their physiology is like a finely tuned race car and is easily disturbed.Maury has been a little hungrier today and wanting more attention. I hope I am just reading too much into this. Also, been difficult for me to hold the same dose for AM and PM cycles. Any thoughts? I'm struggling trying to analyze his SS![]()
Yes, try that. This whole thing is sometimes more art/intuition than science.Just try to hold the 2.75U area, so long as numbers permit, for now? It's like sometimes the dose lasts longer than 12 hours, but then he does bounce.
Attitude is everything!!Hoping he's getting some healing time, even with these weird cycles. Going into month 4, I was hoping to see his neuropathy improving a pinch more. At least it has not gotten worse. Gotta look for the silver lining![]()
