Happy appy, snuggly, spunky, feisty, and anti-jinxes.

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) - Frankie seems to be doing well with the transdermal HyperT meds so far. She is noticeably calmer. We're only 2 weeks in, though. She has to go back for follow-up BW in a week or so to see if the dose is right; if not, we have to adjust and repeat. Once she's settled in to a dose, we can go 3 months without retesting, but every time she needs an adjustment, the time between testing is shorter. We also have to get BP checks in there, too, since HyperT and high BP often go hand-in-hand. We went through all this with our GA civvie Mario, too...he had both HyperT and high BP. Frankie is now our third (out of 7) HyperT cat...ridiculous stats there that HyperT is THAT common. However, I guess it's better to have HyperT than CKD or FD....

I didn't get as much studio work done yesterday as I would have liked, but my errands were very productive. Today is studio-only - anti-jinx!!!

Prayers to all!

Amy

Morning Amy :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Wow, somehow I missed the news that Frankie was hyper-T. Hi nice though that the meds are working. Amazing that you have had three HyperT cats. Keep on truckin' Frankie!

And Miss Trixie, you are looking great as always. :D:cool:

Enjoy your day in the studio. :)

Nice start for Trixie! Glad that the transdermal is working for Frankie. A friend of mine is using that as well rather than the oral meds. Sounds like the retest are more frequent than with the oral meds. Ugh, I hate taking them to the vets.

Hope your day is productive.

We used the trandsdermal with Mario, too...way easier than oral meds, and apparently easier on their tummies, too. I think the testing frequency is standard with our vet's practice no matter what type of meds, though. I think it's one of those things where all vets' offices are different, but our vet is very "thorough" and they like to stay on top of things, sooooooo....every 3 months for HyperT.

Nice to hear Frankie is doing better!
Hope you get a good studio day in today:)
Nice color Trixie:D

Glad that Frankie seems to be doing well on the meds - fingers crossed that this is already a good dose for her.

... and Trixie is looking great!
