Good night everyone!!


Babu is doing much better , haven't posted for a few days (crazy crazy week), so let me try and make a summary, luckily he started eating on his own he is getting a little bit of his regular food but he is still mostly on Hills a/d.

We went to the vet last saturday and for what the doctor said his BW came a little better on the liver area but still not looking good for the kidneys.( all the data is in his SS)

During the week I did increased his dose considering the numbers I kept getting, unfortunatley is hard to handle since there are a few things going on, he is probably going out of the infection not completly since the vet said he still had a little congestion so he is still taking lasix, but i think the Hill's a/d is getting his numbers up.

I started him on Azodil on saturday night ( 1 pill a day) and I think it's messing with his appetite because he gave me a little bit of trouble at dinner time last night, from my expirence with one of the civies it may upset the stomach a little bit at first ( at list I hope that's what it is )

Last night he went down to 88 but that's before he had the a/d, this morning he had 175, I've shoot with that numbers before and it's been ok but this time and I decided to shoot a lower dose ( he was getting 0.5 and I gave him 0.25) since I really don't know his reaction with everything going on.

So far he is going up, so I'm not sure about next dose, I will probably keep the 0.25 since even though he is probably bouncing but is a little bit low for his usual bounces

I am glad Babu is eating the a/d. It's medium carb food, but it's important that he eats. He was looking pretty good on the 0.5 dose. But I can understand how worrying it is if you aren't sure they will eat.

How are you giving the Azodyl? It never bothered Neko. One alternate way to give it is to open the capsule and sprinkle it in some high fat dairy. I put it in a couple tsp of 10% greek style yogurt. Yum-yum! And it's supposed to be given on an empty tummy, either one hour before, or two hours after a meal.

Yes I agree on he looking really good on the 0.5 dose I'll probably will end getting there as soon as possible (safely ) since the vet says he wants him to have the a/d at least two more weeks, but since I'm giving him a lot of new stuff (lasix and azodil ) and him not eating regularly yet I actually got a little bit scared.

I'm not sure about the Azodil maybe that's not it, I'm giving him the pill he is swallowing it ok not exactly on an empty stomach since he is a gracer but about 2 hours after his dinner (an slightly bigger meal than the rest)
