Timmy's numbers are all over the place now. I have had him at 1.5 units for three days. I know I am to hold the dose through the bounce, but I feel so helpless. I have slowly moved his dose time (nothing too quick) so that he hits his pm nadir while I am still awake. That pm dose was worrisome so my dosing at night was too cautious. Anyway another set of eyes on his SS would be so appreciated. :)

I mentioned trying 1.75 u next. I know he hypoed on that dose a month ago but that doesn't mean he'll get that low on it this time around. Kitty's insulin needs change over time which is why we say the good dose is a moving target.
Thank you for the guidance. I was thinking the dose needed to be moved, but with all of the bouncing he is doing, it makes me afraid to move without asking. I will start the increased dose with his am shot and keep my fingers crossed. It makes me pause because of the hypo at that number, but he is not moving into blues, much less greens at this dose.

He has also now boycotted his FF, which I just bought a good bit with all the flavors that he loved. So we are back to BFF, which he loves...for now. If I didn't know better it's almost like he is getting a kick out of watching me open all the different cans. Geesh.

Cats have their ways of making us crazy, don't they?!

When Smoky was on vetsulin it lasted about 8 weeks before losing effectiveness.
I changed my last vial only because it said to change it every 42 days on the vial. It is great to know that it may last a few weeks longer. :) I did put a call into my vet to get another vial, just in case. Thank you!
