3/15 new member, Jadi Faul, needs help starting here

Hello friends,

A new fdmb member @Jadi Faul posted on a fb feline diabetes group that she wants to get started with fdmb, start spreadsheet etc, is trying to post her first condo but is having trouble getting it started. Sounds like maybe a technological glitch.

Jadi's cat, Tiffany, was recently diagnosed with fd and has recovered or is recovering from nasty kidney infection. She started on Lantus and recently switched to Levemir.

To facilitate the ball rolling in fdmb (and hoping that starting post in LL first instead of in welcome to the group is ok), I'm hoping that the tag alert to Jadi within this condo will help to override any technological glitches.

There have been some glitches in the system lately and long term members haven't been able to log in, so no surprise it's affected a new member, too. I hope she gets it sorted out and joins us.

What I know so far is that she says she can sign in to fdmb but gets what she has described as server error messages when tries to do a condo in LL(not sure if she's tried other fdmb forums such as the welcome forum etc).

I don't think she is a fb fdmb group member so she wouldn't be able to pm the webmaster from that group.

What seems to be happening sounds similar to what others have experienced lately. But, as you know :facepalm: I'm not techno at all!
Maybe alert @Jill & Alex (GA) here (rather than alert in tech forum?) to help get this sorted out for the new member?

Sorry about the lockouts for some folks yesterday. We're trying to ban parts of India that keep spamming us constantly and the ban included more people than anticipated! I rolled that all back and everyone should be able to access.

Can she post on this thread? If not, will you please ask her to try to post in another forum such as Health - (The Main Forum) and/or Suggestions, Tech Support, & Testing Area and we'll go from there?

Since she can log on to the FDMB, she can also send a private message (start a conversation) with our board administrator, Robert and Echo to describe the problem. He will be able to help her.

Let me know how this works out...
 
@Jill & Alex (GA) It's a different issue. I've been helping another new member with a SS and she is also not able to post a new thread. I asked her to send Robert a PM and she gets the same error message when she tries to PM him. I'm going to PM him now with these two members names but if you have any abilities.....:):)

Hope this all can work out for her.

I'm remembering how confusing it was for me in the beginning to get used to things even without technological glitches! Am just trying to pay forward the kindness of you and so many others gave me through my own journeys here.

That's what I thought. It sounded like a separate issue to me, too.
Sending a PM to Robert is best. Not that I'd want them, but I don't have the keys to the inner workings of the software program we use.
