Those are some nice numbers. I hope Willow keeps surfing safely for you.
Well
Not so much
Good thing I came home to check her! She was 45bg@+4.75
Doing a reduction tonight!
Gave her enough grave to bring her up

Woah, Willow!!
I am happy you were able to bring her back up James
@Bobbie And Bubba
@DebG
@carfurby

Mayday mayday mayday!
She is back in the green after three small cans of gravy! Wth???
Please look at her SS for today, she should have blasted right past yellow and hit pink or red with the amount of gravy I gave her. Freaking out on the amount I should reduce her! I was going to do a .25 and put her at 1u.
Yet this is throwing me for a loop.

It is bizzare that she hit 221 @ +7 and came back down. I have to admit that this is very strange cycle. If you haven't all ready , give her some MC FOOD to bring her up. It is the end of the cycle so I am hoping that she tapers off and starts to go upward.

Second thought ,LC FOOD at this point and retest in 30 minutes.
Hi

She ate all of her food this morning, when she got low I gave three cans of gravy only, she ate all of it.
Was not expecting this.
Tried to give her LC FF, she ate a little and laid down

She has earned a .25 reduction at PMPS so give her 1 unit at PMPS if she stays above 50 . Will she eat for you now? Give her a couple of tsp of LC to keep her surfing.

She will most likey bounce in the PM cycle but , if she hangs in greens above 50, can you test and monitor her for you to shoot a reduced dose of 1 unit?

The +7 221 was from all the HC food . Give her some LC to see if she can surf into PMPS and keep testing every 30 mins.
She is 67@+11
She is eating a little LC food.
Her shot is in one hour. Wow has this happened to anyone else? This big up then down?

Has anyone else had these kinds of swings? I forsure thought when she hit yellow my worrying was over for the day.
Willow had other plans for me

She is a cat and they can change the rules. But, look at the positive, you earned a reduction .

I once had Neko give me a green PMPS, red two hours later, then green again at the following AMPS. Mind you, Neko was an acrocat with a working pancreas, and the red was due to a medical distress that was alleviated overnight. Or as the saying goes "never trust the cat"!

Should I do 1u or less
Depends on how much you can monitor tonight? If you are tired and want to drain the depot, shoot a smaller dose tonight and resume with 1 unit tomorrow morning.

Otherwise she is probably on her way up, though it's hard to tell cause it hasn't been a full two hours since her LC snack at 10.5.

Hi
I went ahead and gave her the 1u
I'm leaving Thursday - Sunday, need to get Willow under control for my wife before I leave. If I need to stay awake all night again, I'll do it!
Thanks for helping today,
Very stressful seeing her drop like that today. I was not expecting to see the numbers that low

Remember, James, that onset is not until around +3 so if she isn't eating right now ,you have about 3 hours for her to eat before onset.

Thank you! And thank you for coming to our aid.
She ate 1/2 can. I'll be watching her all night.
I'm very lucky to work for myself and had the free time to check her today.
When she hit 33 after 1 1/2 cans of gravy, I was like, are you kidding me? Gave another 1 1/2 can of gravy with the thought she will be back in blue tomorrow.
When she hit 221bg I thought, whoops! Too much and thought she would blast off into pink or red. Seeing her at 70@+10 made me grab the other meter and check her again. My first thoughts were I'm in over my head on this one! Help! I never seen her do this.

Lol
Very true!

Remember when you ask:)ed me the other day about the pancreas and how would you know??? Spooky as my answer was that they start to earn reductions. This is a good thing, said in my best Martha Stewart voice.
My gut was telling me Willows pancreas is going to start kicking in. It was just a gut feeling, this is why I was asking what to look for. And bang! There it is! Full slide past safe numbers.

Next time you see a number in the 30's, you might want to add a drop or two of karo/honey/syrup to the gravy. It seems to bump them up a little faster.

I was looking for the syrup and could not find where my wife put it, we have not had to use it since the kitty enema last year. Yeah it was the hail marry when we could not get her to come up.
My thoughts today were if she kept sliding the vet is only 10 minutes away or a syrup enema!
I'm so glad she came up!
