I was able to talk with my brother last night and we, of course, chatted about how Radar is doing. My brother reports that although he doesn't test as often as I do and is really bad at keeping the spreadsheet up to date, the daily shots are going much better now that he has perfected his technique, Radar has bright eyes, and a happy disposition. Radar is also doing really well in the eating department. He has decided in recent weeks that he does not prefer cooked chicken. Instead, he continues to eat more and more of the raw chicken from RadCat. My brother says that about 80% of Radar's diet is raw food. It seems that it's time to introduce another raw protein. With Radar's suspected IBD, I want to proceed slowly and am wondering if there are methods that others have found to be successful. Any tips would be welcome.
My other question is related to the time change. In the fall, we just skipped the shot the morning of the time change and Radar did just fine. My brother has not been moving the shot times this week and can't monitor Radar tomorrow because he needs to go to work. We have considered two options for the time change tomorrow.... 1) skip the shot in the morning and give the evening shot at the new correct time or 2) give a reduced safety dose shot at +11 in the morning before my brother goes to work and then return to the current dose in the evening. Thoughts? Is one of these options better for Radar? We aren't sure what is best but are leaning towards the reduced safety dose.
