I too remember party lines and the Virginia Slims commercial Bobbie! I have a lot of nostalgic moments when I think back to the "good old days"!

That's putting it mildly Beth. I am now back to surfing through Dr. Pierson's food list, checking calorie counts trying to figure out new wet food options, how much to feed her while trying not to make a sudden switch to all wet to avoid any tummy issues. I feel like I have so many balls in the air right now, something is going to get overlooked. To boot, she is a pilferer, so while I never had to worry about the boys wet food before, now I do! I wish my kitchen was big enough for an armchair as I seem to be spending an inordinate amount of time standing there watching the kitties chow down now! :woot:
Hi Linda,
Would your crew tolerate being fed at set (multiple) meal times in separate rooms? That's what saves my goose. Mine didn't start off that way but Teasel's diagnosis made me change the set up.

Hi Kris, been on but mostly off the board this last week so just checking in to say hi and see how Teasel is doing. Seems Teasel is just still being Teasel. :woot::woot:

I see a lot of blues and greens on your SS this month. That is so awesome. Glad Teasel is responding so well to Lantus!

Hope you're all enjoying your Caturday! :bighug::)

Thanks, Jo. Yes, this is Teasel's version of responding well. He feels better on Lantus and that's a big plus. I can't/don't get fussed by his ups and downs.

You poor thing, Linda I can relate to all the time I spend policing food at feeding time at the zoo ( 6 X a day) And all the time I spend calculated daily caories divided by mini meals per day and then having to recalculate when I switched to raw diet. But, if it gets Menace in better numbers, so worth it .

Party Line at Kris's condo :p

:joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::eek::joyful::eek::joyful::rolleyes:o_O........oh yes, the policing of the food :woot:. Mine get fed in 3 seoerate rooms :woot::woot::woot:. Didn't seem too crazy til we left for short vacation in August and I had to write it down for adult son to follow.....then I started to realize where all my former "free time" had gone !!!

Hey Bobbie, as long as we r crashing Kris's condo , how is Sweetie Pie Bubba doing ???? Can't get his release video off my mind :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
He's good but the weather isn't cooperating with him wanting to be outside (it's 18 degrees today) He did manage to get a mouse within the first ten minutes he was out the day before yesterday. I went outside to get it away from him and he swallowed it whole like Jabba the Hutt from "Return of the Jedi:rolleyes:

Why did that put an image of a snake swallowing its prey into my brain?!

:woot:....so much a Jabba move !!! Years ago we "adopted "our neighbors outdoor cat as he got older( couldn't stand him being out at night)..he was a mouser extraordinaire , even up into old age...he lived to be 21 and vet credited his occasional mouse consumption. Now if we could can them that would be great !!!

I may try that with Menace and Worf. Problem is that I already often feed my old guy either on a bed or in an armchair in the rec room just so he doesn't have to deal with my young male checking out his bowl for better offerings but he grazes, so later on, even though his food is in another room, he comes to the kitchen looking for his food. I've got to sit down and think this out when my head clears a bit. I just feel like I am having a dream and this isn't real yet! Every time I see Menace eating wet food, my eyes are tearing up. Sappy I know, but it's been a long battle! I feel like I just won a jackpot and don't want to do anything to jeopardize this progress! :joyful:

. Oh Linda , I'm so happy for u and Menace!!! You deserve all good things :bighug:. Makes me tear up reading this ....u r such a wonderful Menace Momma :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hells Bells!! He's at 67 at PMPS. I'm stalling 30 minutes to see if he's rising and will give a dose reduced to 2.5 u if he is ... with lots of monitoring this evening. If he isn't rising it'll be the second NS in 36 hours. I know all about the potential ineffectiveness of reductions too close together and so on from the TR protocol but Teasel has other ideas and I have to keep him safe.

Wow Kris, Teasel, what are you doing ? Seems like he has "snapped" Good plan to stall and if he comes up to shoot a reduction , chances are he wlli start bouncing but, he is a cat and can't be trusted. So if you shoot, monitor. You know how to steer.

Teasel - what a brat!:cat: I would reduce to 2.5 units. Much better to dose consistently than keep skipping. I wouldn't consider this too close a reduction to the last one.

Been loving the party line. Had one when I was a kid. Not nearly as interesting though. I'm tearing up at the Menace news too.
Thanks, Wendy. He's on a mission to do something but I don't know what!! :blackeye::eek::confused::nailbiting:

So - after a 30 minute stall without food he was at 63. I fed him. There'll be no shot tonight and a dose reduction tomorrow AM. He's had three no shots in the last 6 days and the most recent two were only 36 hours apart.

Hey ya'll !!!! Is there a full moon or what ?:woot:.....can we have a pj party ???....Teasel and Menace are in kahoots with each other, that's what ;):):joyful:

Yes I do believe more humble apologies for hijacking Kris & Teasel's thread are in order! Mea culpa!
Full moon due tomorrow! But then we all know our cats don't follow any rules, traditions, time schedules etc!

I think this plague hanging in my kitchen sums them up.....

This is why my cats' food dishes have a cartoon kitty wearing a crown and the caption,"You may feed me now."

Well, you get a night off from testing so much but I would get a +2 after shot was due to makes sure he isn't still falling.

ETA so that would be a +14
