Bring out the HC food. Since you have never shot that low before,( not this year anyway) even though you reduced the dose, it is too much or she was still falling this AM

Glad she came up for you and I know that you will stay vigilant with this cycle .

Seems like I should drop to 12.5, unless it's the former depot in play. If so, then I should probably wait for the depot to stabilize.
BUT
This pattern looks a lot like a year ago ( from 6.5.2016 to 7.3.2016)when she fell from 15U to7 in a month.

Maybe one of the other high dose kitty parents will weigh in to guide you on dose. I don't have any experience with it and am out of my league here .

Ah. OK. I'm fairly well puzzled. The pattern is really similar, but I can't figure out why. Though it is true that TiTi's insulin needs rose, when I added pumpkin and started using the overnight feeder, which I later learned, I over-stocked. Then she had both a pancreatitis and herpes flare-up.

I guess the pumpkin and food over-dose, added to Herpes and pancreatitis explain this fairly well. But t'would be lovely to have some verifications, or additions, or refutations of my assumptions.

In 3.5 hours TiTi is due her next shot. I don't know whether or not to reduce her dose to 12.5U or maintain the 13U. She stays awfully low on this 13U dose, and has steadily declined in her insulin needs.

The 14 unit depot, as well as the 13.5 unit depot were still in play today. It takes 6 cycles or so at this size dose for the larger depot to reduce. One option for tonight is a one time significantly reduced dose, maybe 8-9 units, just for tonight. Then go back to 13 units tomorrow morning. That will shrink the higher depot and bonus, allow a better sleep. :)

You are probably right that her feeling better means she needs less insulin.
