Morning folks,

Today, like yesterday and pretty much like the other before we started Levemir are
not that good. I wasn't expecting miracles yesterday while doing a a full scale curve.
What I would have like is to have a trend of what was happening during the day
in regards of up and down, it wasn't to be. Small Kitty stayed flat, basically
trashing the curve. Trying to understand this is so exhausting that I spent the hole
day sleeping yesterday, didn't even post. I woke up to test then went straight to bed.

Cannot spend my entire life on this, there is other things waiting. Will go do my
things and test will resume in the afternoon, duties do not stop because of FD.

Hope a projected increase will make some change cause I don't like Levemir so far.
The low preshots I was expecting are yet to manifest themselves.

Good Morning Sebastien, and I am sorry you are frustrated. I don't know about Levemir so I can't comment and I am sure the Lev peeps will weigh in. Last night PM cycle you indicated a FS? I take it that you thought so because of the 412 @ +3. Wondering if that was a bump up before he starts sliding down? Hope so.

Small Kitty stayed flat, basically
trashing the curve.

I'm not sure how you can say he was flat, he started at 416 and had a nadir of 257, that's a drop of 159pts.
Sure he didn't go as low as you would have liked but not totally flat.

I think the curve tells you that he dropped fast once the Lev onset. Possible around the +5 mark/ give or take.

Could be a bump. The needle went in but I always keep the plunger pressed all the way down for 2-3 sec, that's when he moved
and bent the needle

Think the curve has talked today, more juice is needed. Hope it will make a difference
and not frighten the liver to make things worst.

Remember, you are currently on a smaller dose of Levemir than you were of Lantus. Levemir isn't going to look as good if you aren't at a good dose. Lantus needed increases too.

Once I had a good idea of what Neko's cycle looked like on Lev, I had a lot more freedom. With her, as long as she wasn't super low at shot time, I could take off for at least 5 hours, maybe 7 so I could get lots of things done. One you have a feel for how SK works on Lev, you'll get a better idea of when you need to be around to test, and when you don't. As I mentioned before, that was the worst part about switching to Lev from Lantus for me, is I had to learn Neko's patterns all over again.
