After reviewing the last week of numbers, I find myself reluctant to increase her insulin, for 2 reasons:
  • Very often she goes low at night, but I am not awake to monitor her sufficiently to record the greens that I suspect are occurring in the early morning hours. I see bounces at AMPS that indicated she's gone green.
  • I think I am feeding her too much and/or incorrectly.
How many carbs does pumpkin have? I've been giving her a tsp to a Tbs with each meal- that amounts to about 6 Tbs/day.
Thinking about going to raw food.

You may have missed the odd green in the pm cycle, but I don't think you've missed anything outrageous.

6 tablespoons of pumpkin sounds like a lot. I think folk usually add a teaspoon to meals, but not sure how many times a day.

Looks like she is seeing some green this morning too. I might be tempted to get a +8 or +9 so you can see how far she is dropping, she may have nadired, but then again she might not have. That might make your decision a little easier.

Thank you! At +9.5 today, she's 77.

Nice to see green again today. I feed about 1/4 tsp of pumpkin twice a day, for a total of 1/2 tsp. I have heard people doing twice that much. That seems to be the recommendation on: http://www.felineconstipation.org/prevention.html#FiberorPrebiotics

Oh my. I'm feeding her too much pumpkin. But on the other "paw", her constipation was so severe that I thought she needed a lot. During her present routine of pumpkin and Miralax, she's been passing nice solid stools daily. TiTi's had months of relatively normal digestion. I have cut way back on the Miralax within the last 3 weeks, and this last week, I've cut back on the pumpin. She's doing great, even with the reductions/

Yes, too much pumpkin. I made the same mistake when I first read about it but I gave a few tablespoons, lol.

She went down to 66, but she just threw up - just a string of mucous and I think some hair. Earlier she threw up a bit of dinner on my slipper. Odansetron is now on board.
Well, two steps forward, one step backward. It's slow progress, but it is progress.

Well I guess you will be holding the dose for the time being then? Nice Cycle.
You betcha'. And it's quite nice to know that I read her numbers correctly, enabling me to figure out whether or not to hold or increase her insulin dose. Course, without your suggestion, I might still be puzzled. Thank you again.
