Yesterday's condo

No clue why I couldn't get out of bed this morning - since Walter was still running high last night, I actually got a decent amount of sleep. I just couldn't get motivated to start the work week. So it's a late condo today. I am done with my classes and just have office hours right now... can't wait to get home to check on Walter. It sure looks like he has recovered from the skipped shot in record time.

Other than that, not much new here. The weather is still spectacular. Sunny and 65 degrees - amazing for February... and it's supposed to snow again by Saturday, so I better take advantage of it while it lasts.

Capone is doing great and his hair is growing back. Iris still sounds like a little Zombie kitten, especially when she eats. And Lenny might be a little worse now that we have reduced his Pred. I made an appointment with our local vet tomorrow, mostly to get her opinion on the surgery. I just don't know what to do.

Always happy to see that Mandarin is doing well OTJ!
Walter.....stay out of the deep end ok?
Do you have a sense from the vet as to how successful these type of surgeries usually are?

I hope Walter keeps heading down slowly. I'm glad Capone is doing better. Poor Iris. I hope the vet can help you figure out what is best for Lenny. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Well, I think it all depends on how you define success. According to the neurologist, the chances are very high (higher than 90%) that he will be better than he is now... but there's of course no way of knowing if he could have gotten there with rest and meds. Today is the first day where I feel like he is actually painful (he's doing lots of panting and has an arched back) - and that really is my biggest fear: that there will be chronic pain.

...and I really hope that Walter didn't dip too low while I was at work today. So far, no bounce, so that's hopefully a good sign.

Poor Lenny. IDK Christina. I hope his regular vet can help you make a decision. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Walter is working the juice :D:D Glad to hear Capone is better and your little zombie kitten seems to be doing well despite the sounds she makes. I wish there was a crystal ball for Lenny...sending mega vines and prayers. Give extra scritches to my buddy Mandarin. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Walter, good job surfing today! See you can get out there with Mandarin without scaring the heck out of your mama!:)

Mandarin, keep rockin' the OTJ, dude. :D

I'm so glad Capone is doing better. Sending vines for that to continue.

Poor, sweet little Iris. I sure wish you could find the magic formula to help her feel better. :(

The dilemma with Lenny is a tough one. When I have been faced with something like that in the past, it helps me to ask my vet, "what would you do if it were your cat (or dog)?" I figure she know the risks and odds of improvement so well, that she would make an informed decision. I've rarely gone wrong doing that. Whatever you decide, I'll keep Lenny in my prayers and I'm sending him a truckload of vines.

Hi Christina - poor Lenny - he has such soulful eyes Hope you can get good advice from the vet
Walter is just amazing me with how well he has been doing ever since Mandarin went OTJ - wonder if that could be in his future too (anti jinx)?
