How long is Novalin n good for?

How long is Novalin n good for once opened and kept in the fridge? Walmart told me 6 months, but I don't know if I believe that.

I have used N insulin for over two years (it was then used up) after first piercing the stopper

How long is Novalin n good for once opened and kept in the fridge? Walmart told me 6 months, but I don't know if I believe that.

My pharmacist told me as did the package insert that once a vial has been opened it should be replaced every 28 days as after that it begins to lose its efficacy.

I have successfully used a vial of Novolin N for up to 4 months. I don't know if it would have made it to six. I accidentally left it out overnight, so I replaced it the next day.
