Furball was happy and purry this morning. She’s doing well overall. She’s feeling pretty good and her fur is very soft. I got a 48 when I tested last night. Even after her being OTJ for over a year, I was still

for a few seconds.

She is still fighting an infection in her ear. As many of you know, she has chronic ear problems in one ear. It seems she has scratched a place just inside her ear that has gotten infected. I think her ear was bothering her and she was scratching at it. She tends to get a lot of gunk in her ear. At first the vet and I thought it was an inner ear infection, so we were treating it that way. Then the vet cleaned her ear really good and I could see the pus was coming from the scratch, not her inner ear. We’ve tried a couple of different antibiotics and OTC meds and it hasn’t cleared up. I was talking to Sina (@HWright) about Spunky’s ear problems and that led me to researching homeopathic meds. I found this: http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/products/pet-essences-infection/137033.aspx#dtIngredients. So far it seems to be helping. I’m praying it clears up the infection. Thank you Sina for sharing about Spunky's treatments.

Sending prayers to those who have lost a furbaby lately and those in need. I hope the treatments help SK (@Photorecon) get better soon.

Love the report and that beautiful green :D:D Poor little girl with her ears though. I certainly hope the new remedy helps and the infection clears up soon. Give her extra scritches for me.

Thanks Carla for latest news about Furball. Wow 48 bg even with the icky ear. Glad you're finding that the remedy you got for Furball's ear is helping. Doing same remedy with Spunky now. A little too early to tell with Spunky but she's tolerating it well. I'm thinking about trying it diluted as an ear wash, maybe with the HV's herbal ear wash, maybe on its own,

@Sharon14 , love to know about the remedy that @Bobbie And Bubba mentioned that you use, too.

❤️❤️❤️

I received the Seven Forests (http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/products/Seven-Forests-Forsythia-18/105006.aspx) and tried giving it to Furball orally, but it made her vomit. I was hoping it would help along with the Flower Essences. I'm thinking of trying to crush it and mix it in her food. Maybe it was too hard on her stomach just giving her a pill.

Awww...sorry to hear about Furball's ear Carla. Hope this new remedy clears it up quickly. Glad to hear she's doing well otherwise! We love happy, purry kittehs!! Nice BG even though poor Furball is having ear issues. Sending prayers and vines for that infection to clear quickly. :bighug:

Great report, though I am sorry to hear (haha) that the ear is still bothering her. I 2nd the neosporin option - couldn't hurt to try it. I use the one with pain relief on Gizmo's ears after a marathon pokey session during an active cycle.

My FIL (PHD anatomy) told me once that pain and itching are two spectrum's of the same nerve reaction. I was having a server allergy reaction - couldn't quit sneezing and nose was on fire. It had been going on for about three days. My face (nose, eyes) were a balloon - it was really bad. He found out about it and brought me an RX pain pill and told me to take it - ya know, it worked! Now I just use Advil but it still give some relief. Anyway, if she is scratching maybe try it and see if it helps.

Hi Carla,

Wow, nice BG Furball. It's always so great to read updates on OTJ kitties. Looking good! I hope the infection clears up soon. It is nice that you have found an alternative to the usual AB's when they weren't working. Perhaps the neo-sporin would help. I've used it in the past with most of my kitties, it seems to do the trick. Lots of vines for you Furball!

Have a great weekend Carla.

Wow, 48 is super, especially with the ear infection going on! You and Furball are truly an inspiration! I'm really glad to hear she is doing so well. Hope that nasty ear infection clears up soon. :bighug::bighug:

Sending vines for Furball's infection.

Furball, your numbers are an inspiration to all of us! :cat::D
