I have 2 thread already posting explaining what is going on with skittles, but is there anybody on that can please give me at least one or two choices of Friskies that we know haven't changed in carb count? I have to get some new kind right now because his BG Levels are very high and I think he might be falling out of remission. We just left the vets office not too long ago and he does have an infected tooth, my new vet wants me to put him on can DM and start giving him 1 unit if his BG gets 350 and higher .
I just need to know what I can get him right now because I don't know if I'll be switching him to the DM. I have two cats to feed and a dog and sadly right now I still I'm not working .

I'm going to be watching this thread, because I am currently feeding my guys 3-4 varieties of Classic Pates (US) and have been for a while.

Sherri, yes it's been discussed that something has changed with Friskies but the company refuses to acknowledge. I had an issue with the 'Turkey and Giblets' pate with Dakota a few months ago but it suddenly cleared up...it no longer spikes him. I suspect they tried another vendor for something but after all the calls and emails, have since returned to their previous suppliers - just my 'guessing'...

HI Sherri, I hope the food list and responses have been helpful. I'm sorry to hear you can't get the dental done right now. I think there might be financial resources available to help out getting that done. Someone here may know more about it than me because I am pretty new here.

Turkey & giblets have been the only one I've been buying for a few weeks now and his BG went so high I had to give him his first unit of insulin and over a year on Thursday morning. I wonder if this is why, that and of course his infected tooth. I am just desperately trying to keep him in remission

Thank you, I hope someone comes along that can give me more information on financial help.
The list is the same one I've been using but it seems like I must be using one ( or more ) that have changed. Skittles went from being in the 90's most of the time to 446! I really need someone to tell me which Friskies have changed.
I got more Fancy Feast , but they don't seem to like it. I got several different flavors , but I'm just throwing money I don't have away

This is from another page on FDMB:

I feed a variety of Friskies pates to my guy, usually mixed with his prescription wet food but sometimes alone and have never noticed any major spikes in BG from those foods. I use mostly the chicken, turkey and giblets and occasionally the fish types.
