his is one of our lowest morning preshot numbers in a few weeks. Radar is feeeling good today with bright eyes and an urge to zoom around the house as he checks all the windows for birds he can chatter at. :cat: He has continued to eat well this week which is a source of joy to the humans in the house. I'm mostly home today so will be using the chance to test often and get a clue about what Radar is doing while we are away.

In other news, my brother is learning how to give injections as we prepare for me to be away for an extended time frame to help our mom recover from shoulder surgery. When Radar was diagnosed almost 2 years ago, we split up the tasks and really focused on doing our respective parts well. Since then we've gradually learned the other persons tasks so that it only takes one person to provide the daily care Radar needs. So far Mike has done brilliantly and I'm the one who did a furshot yesterday.:smuggrin: As the time for my departure approaches in a few weeks, we will need help figuring out what adjustments might be needed on the dose so that Radar is safe.

Nice start this morning. I'm glad Radar is eating good for you. Nice that your brother is learning to test and can take care of Radar while you help your mom. I hope your mom's recovery goes quickly. Sending prayers.

It's been a nice gentle slide today. I'm thinking  is next for us today and hoping for :D as we keep sliding down ever so softly.

Gentle slides are easiest on both cat and bean. Nice work today, Radar! :)

How wonderful that your brother is learning to do all that Radar needs so you can go take care of your DM without worrying. Be sure to give him access to the Board so he can post with any questions. We'll be happy to help him.

:bighug: Thanks, Tricia for reminding me to be sure Mike has access to the "wise ones" on the Board when he needs help. He's injecting like a pro already but I know he's worried about what to do if Radar goes lower than expected. I will also spend the next few weeks encouraging him as he becomes more comfortable. :)

Just popping in to wish you well and say how great it is your brother can share and help out while you are away..so nice to be able to know Radar is in good hands!:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Lucky cat!:bighug:
