vet vist yesterday: awaiting BW - Murphy gained 1/2 lb since last visit!!! He is scheduled for a dental the first week of February

Congestion: I'm continuing doxy - it does seem to be helping - I'm stopping zyrtec for the time being and just using apoquel. Hopefully he is not allergic to dust - if he is, he will have a hard time living with me. They will look for a polyp during the dental @Amy&TrixieCat - vet did say bad dental problems can see congestion - don't think Murphy's teeth are that bad, but we'll see
Tuesday night, he went to the lagoon, but was dropping fast - I didn't include all the numbers on the SS, but he did drop from 92 to 62 in 20 minutes and I knew that was trouble. I gave him some gravy from a Wellness packet, and a few droppers full of sugar water, and just the tiniest dab of honey on his gums. He vomited up everything, just as he has done the last 4 times his BG has dropped low. He vomited everything I tried to give him - Finally I filled two gelcaps with sugar and pilled him - he kept that down, with the help of ondansteron. It is so harrowing to have a vomiting cat who is dropping. I talked to the vet about it and she said that severe nausea can definitely result from low BG, even quickly dropping BG. Anyway, he probably needs to be increased, but I am leery now because I am afraid when I have to bring him up.

Bad few days - just got called - have to have another mammogram and additional tests next week - ugh -
of course I am thinking the worse and worrying

:bighug::bighug::bighug:i dont want you to feel alone right now... and i am like you my mind always goes to the worst case so i can imagine where yours is right now :bighug::bighug::bighug: praying that its something they did taking the mammo and that you are healthy and ok :bighug::bighug::bighug:

i cannot imagine Lincoln vomiting when his bg's go down... only cause he hides when he vomits so it would make it so hard to treat him... come on Murphy your bean needs you to surf safely and drop smoothly for awhile bud :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sorry the worries are piling on. I don't know your history or anything, but I can tell you I got the call to come back in for more tests after a mammogram and turns out they were just trying to be extra thorough because they weren't satisfied they got good enough imagery, and it's not that uncommon. It felt like forever until the follow up appt! Hope you can find some solace in that.
It's good to hear that Murphy gained weight. I hope he starts to feel better sooooooooooon.:bighug:

So sorry about the mamo and hope it all works ok in the end. :bighug::bighug: Great news that Murphy put on a bit of weight and hope all the BW comes back good. There are different levels of regulation and also knowing what is too low for your cat is important. Yes, green is the ticket to remission and the best place for the kitties pancreas to heal but not all cats can get there or be there. Murphy is looking pretty good on this dose and don't see a reason to increase him unless his numbers trend upward.

Regulation

Sending you hugs and vines Carol.:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: I am sorry everything seems topsy turvy right now. I hope you get good results on your test and on Murphy's blood work and that you won't need to bring him up from another low anytime soon.

Looks like Murphy had his nadir at pmps - he wasn't eating then, and I panicked and gave him some Royal Canin glycobalance kibble - also zolfran and cypro - now his +2 is 248 - he's still not eating great - sigh - I hate this

ok Murphy... mama bean is trying a lot of stuff.. time to share the secret of what you will eat... want it warmed a bit so its smellier? or something super stinky like sardines... what will make you eat???? sending more appy vines :bighug::bighug:
