i am wondering if i eliminated/moved the +8 snack if things would be a bit better... problem is is that Gordy, even eating at the +8, tells me he is starved and dying come time for his regular meals. I am worried that he wont be cool with going 6 hours between food. He already gives me a super tough time when it comes to testing before his shot because he is anxious to eat.

What are you feeding at +8? My Neko would have chewed my leg off if I didn't give her a snack at +9, so we compromised with a very small bit of zero or very low carb food. You can always boil some chicken breasts, cut them into small cubes, and give something like that as a snack. Are you giving a treat with the before meal test? Knowing that is coming used to calm down my girl.

Come on down Gordy please.

Aww Gordy :bighug::bighug::bighug: I am in no way giving advice, but I free feed Fluffy, and take away his food around +9. Probably not the best thing to do, but Fluffy's numbers are for the most part very predictable now and his food is insanely low carb and his numbers are pretty good, I don't have an automatic feeder or the money to do so, and am a student so sometimes I can't make it back to the apartment to take away his food. Gosh I know how you feel about that anxiety :( used to kill me to hear kitty meow endlessly for food! I gave in sometimes so don't feel bad. Our kitties bodies are literally telling them they're starving!

He gets one of the little frozen Wellness food I freeze. Its about 1.5 tablespoons. Not a ton, but its usually enough to sate him.

I don't normally do the treats when he about to do the official meal, but I can try it out. He chokes them down so fast, I don't know if it would help LOL

His PMPS is 387.

His numbers are getting really frustrating. Youd think they at least change SOME but nooooo, its practically been the same since i started lantus. =(

He is negative for ketones. But man, he just peed for a good minute, hard.

Im afraid i scared him by having the spoon still in the box when he turned around. Hope I didnt scarred him =/
