1/11 Trouble AMBG 103, +4 108, PMBG 97, +3 86 Not Happy With these #'s OTJ TRIAL Day 11

Trouble was doing great- he finished off a day with a BG of 79.. And yesterday he gave us a 103 AM, and then a 95 PM.. Today- he was a 103 again.. and his +4 was not any better....

Worrying we are going to have to hold off on the party maybe- and give him more time to see what he is doing?

As far as I know there has been no contraband ( we have been very careful, but Chela is on higher carb food right now that is also low in phosphorus-- so he could have licked some off the floor- but not alot)-

All P's are in place- though he did seem a little off yesterday am... And his appy hasn't been great- but its ok- he's not not eating-

I am not ready to start him back up on the insulin this second.. but also wanting to give it more time perhaps if the #'s don't shift soon-

Any ideas from any experienced members? He was doing so good.. Come on Trouble- you got this!
 
As I say that about the appy- he just came in and wolfed down tons of food- He has been wanting to go outside- but its been really cold and snowy so he doesn't stay out long- wondering if he wants to get some grass?
 
You have grass visible at your place? Mine is mostly covered with the white stuff. It is possible Trouble's numbers are a little higher cause his tummy was feeling off. Paws crossed he'll get back to business. He's allowed an off day.

Paws crossed here for sure! He's been doing so well- so who knows!

Mostly white stuff here too- but on the edges some grass.. Not sure if he is getting any, but he seems to be looking for it!

It's supposed to get up to 9 on Tuesday- I really hope so- I will welcome the rain- although the sun is sure shining in the office window today!

Oh Asrael, I could feel your heart drop with both of those test. :blackeye: I thing the 14 day trail was the toughest on my nerves. Hoping he is just having a tummy upset and a little higher for the day. They are still normal numbers.......if it becomes a trend then another story. Keeping fingers and paws crossed for you. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks Bobbie! I was a bit stressed about it yesterday- hoping it was a one day thing- so didn't post- but when his +4 wasn't great- then was just bummed.. He is eating now- seems fine- my DH isn't worried at all-

But still just like those lower numbers better!

If he wasn't feeling good that could explain the slightly higher numbers. I hope he feels better and gets back on track soon. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Hi Asrael....have been watching you and Trouble with interest and hope, cheering you on. Last Thursday Elmo was to transition to Lantus( last vetsulin was night before) but with no data and pretty good numbers we have been advised to not start but test and watch. I hesitate to call it an official OTJ and like you when that beep goes off on the glucometer my heart can drop at the 100, even tho low. Just know Elmo and I are watching and believing for you and Trouble to succeed at remission .....you give us hope :bighug::):bighug::):bighug:
 
PMBG 97- Barely green.. And he ate lots earlier- but being a picky cat now- Seems fine though-

Will just give it a day or two and see what happens!

@Beth 73 thanks for your kind words- and I wish you the best of luck with Elmo too! Just looked at his spreadsheet and he is looking great:) It's nice that he is dropping to the greens after his low blues- A great sign that the pancreas is working- :) That is so exciting and we will keep our paws crossed for you both! This is Trouble's 2nd remission trial- he was in it for about 2-3 months and then went to get a dentistry and it stressed him out and back onto the insulin we went :(

He's doing great over all- so trusting it will continue to be a good trial- but would love his numbers to come down a little (or at least get a green +4)- not sure what has happened the last few days- just Trouble- being Trouble :)

Oh, Asrael, how I relate to the coveting of those greens. Glad to be in this process with you and Trouble. Will keep you both in our thoughts and prayers for greens, greens, GREENS !!!!!
 
Fwiw George will give me low blue ambg intermittently, then he goes back to greens, I've tried to figure out if it's something I'm doing or not doing, and best I can figure out is he's just being a cat.
Try not to worry just yet.

Nope wasn't me- we usually have grass here all year- just been an extremely cold and freezing winter with snow that lasts longer than a day- if it continues I would try it though:)

Thanks @Gill & George- Trying not too- It's good that he came down- started out a little high this am too- but his +4 was green- so just going to be with it for now :)
