? Tinka held 1u 10 cycles, increase dose tmrw morning?

Hi all, so I have held Tinka's 1u dose for 10 cycles as she is fairly new to nadir's under 200 (only 3.5 weeks since diagnosis and beginning lantus) and is still getting some bounces. Please see my updated SS for her values. We have just completed 10 cycles tonight at 1u. I will take her +4 or +5 in the next hour or so to get her final reading from her 10 cycles. So do I increase tomorrow morning to 1.25? I am following TR method. Thank you!

Thank you Wendy So if no green tonight then I'd up her dose to 1.25u tomorrow? Provided she's above 8.4 to shoot at AMPS which with the numbers we've been seeing she should be.

When can you test tomorrow?

We usually recommend if you're able to test, if you get a PS under 150 (the first few times anyway) you stall, don't feed and post for help. We just like to have someone with experience that's able to watch over you in case you get a surprise

On TR, eventually we get to the point where we'll shoot anything over 50 as long as we can test and have plenty of supplies, but the first few times you shoot a lower number, it's best to have someone watching over you

I totally agree I wouldn't feel comfortable shooting under 150 as I've not done that before and don't have much data with tinka yet. If she was below 150 in the AM or PM I will def stall, not feed and post for help She's been way above 150 every morning though for the past few weeks so I'm assuming she will be above 150 again tmrw, but you never know If she is below 150 I will def stall, not feed and post for help. So her BG tonight at +4 is now 13.4. So for tmrw I'd increase to 1.25 u then is that correct? Thanks for your help!

I don't know your schedule, but I'd love to see an earlier test like +2 or +3 just because those tests can almost predict what's going to happen later in the cycle, but if you can get like a +4 and maybe a +8 one day, and a +3 and +6 or +7 the next day, that's a pretty good spread of numbers

Thanks Wendy ok so tmrw AM provided she's above 150 I will shoot 1.25u Thanks yes thats what I was meaning that I will only shoot in the AM or PM provided she's over 150 (over 8.4). If she's under, which I highly doubt she will be in the AM as we haven't seen low number like that in a while, but if she is at any point I'll stall, not feed and post for help. Def wouldn't feel comfortable shooting under 150 yet without help. Thanks again!

Thanks Chris thats good to know I can try for a +3 tmrw AM possible and then maybe a +8. I could prob do a +2 in the PM too. I will def try to get some different BG tests going forward at those different times you recommended so we can have a better spred of numbers and data Great thanks if shes above 150 I will go ahead and shoot 1.25u tomorrow for next 6 cycles.
