Good Morning L & L

Status quo and the little reduction is doing okay so far :) Happy about that!

........the dang keyboard is still not working correctly, it's the same 17 keys that won't work and then they will start to work again and then not o_O
.............ugh and the touch screen keyboard is murder , so slow........ it makes being on the boards difficult

Sending vines to all Beans and kitties in need. :bighug:
 
I hope Bubba keeps surfing on the new dose. Crazy about your keyboard. Have you tried getting a can of compressed air and spraying it really good in case something is blocking the keys? That's probably not it since it's the same 17 keys each time, but it might be worth trying.

I was thinking about that but with it being an intermittent thing.......it's crazy. In the course of posting this morning they started off not working then they were . I think I better take it in to the tech nerds in town and see if they can tell me if a software or hardware problem.
 
Ug, sorry about the keyboard issue. My o is only working when I slam my finger down on the keyboard. I never realized how many o's are in our words.:confused: I am annoyed with one key bothering me, I can't imagine having 17 not working. o_O

Keep up the awesome work Bubba....think mousies!!!:cat:
 
my letter was J that didnt want to work... like Amanda said you dont realise how often you use a letter till you look at your condo and they are missing everywhere lol... this morning though its my 9 that is being stupid... hope Bubbas reduction continues to hold... have a great day Bobbie :bighug::bighug:
 
Vines for Bubba to have a green is good day.
My laptop is still completely nonfunctional. But.....before it completely crashed, had problem with keyboard
1: Azalea liked to sleep on it but Steve kept forgetting to close it when he finished his sessions on it..
2. Azalea took naps on keyboard, with drool going on to and in between the keys. Yuck. Beginning of a few keys not synching.
3. I wiped it all down with damp cloth. Uh oh. No keys respond.
4. Computer guy comes and takes laptop away. A few days later he returns , having dismantled the whole shebang and replacing stuff. Working ok.
5. Computer guy, who is sympatico about animals, laughs and says: "I've seen a lot of fur fuzz in my day but never fur fuzz and sticky cat drool, too. Your cat really must love your laptop." :facepalm:;):facepalm:

The tech geeks said it could have been something spilled which I had done eons ago and used a hair dryer and it was fine, I will take to them on Wed with SIL is here a gain , it is parallzeing to not being able to type fast; everything takes twice as long on the touch board :rolleyes:
 
Computers are frustrating enough when they work, your doing a great job....

My Vinnie (civvie) makes that chattering sound, I love to listen to him do it!

I had a handful of keys that started working/not working, finally had to have the whole keyboard replaced, ugh. Then my son leaned on it accidentally and shattered the screen. I have a new laptop (that I hate), and it has a sticky n and o, it's a major pain in the butt!

High five on the reducie, Bubba!

Really? 17 keys not working? Could not do it, would drive me crazy! Is this a tablet keyboard or a regular computer/laptop keyboard?
 
Get the birdie, Bubba, get the birdie.

The g h j k l and space bar don't work on my laptop (inherited from DS who most likely spilled food/beer/tea on it). Those keys used to work if you hit them hard repeatedly. Not anymore. Mostly used by me just to watch Netflix in bed.
 
:D!! My civvie Petey chatters at the snow as it slides off the bay window roof...very entertaining!

The "I" on my laptop doesn't work...I'd go nuts if I had 17 keys that weren't working!

NICE, yes I got about 4 hours. Doing some work from home, consuming copious amounts of coffee and will head to the shop after I get Uncle's +2
I'm forgot set up my hummingbird feeder, this is reminding to get on it. It may take them a bit to find it since it's already been cold for awhile but the cats and I love seeing them outside the front window too.

I love it when they chatter!! My GA Cinnamon used to do it and I would totally laugh because she wasn't a hunter at all. I think I told you the story of when a mouse got in the apartment, she just sat and looked it (with interest, but not enough interest to actually hunt the thing -- that would be undignified! And require energy.:woot:).

Have you looked into buying a new keyboard for it rather than spending money for a repair? Amazon sells the keyboards from other companies that are compatible with the Surface 2 and you can get them for under $20. I have a Surface Pro and ended up just getting a new keyboard.

That is what I will do but first I wlli tkae it to the tech geeks and they will hoko it up to a keyboard and tell me if it is the hardware or not and they won't charge to do that . It is making me crazy ( crazier) :rolleyes:

I HATE computer problems too!

...and maybe you should talk to Bubba to see if he's been using your computer to chat with his friends or order some mice and got his claws caught in the keyboard. ;)
 
That's nice to have one of our Kitty that is accepting reduction and can hold on it (one of the few I guess).

For your keyboard issue just turn it upside down (keys pointing down) and move your hand pressing on
them from left to right like mad (could be right o left also :)). You'll dust and skin particles falling down
that you can use as spice for a sauce :). Just change the angle with the keys still pointing down and
swap your hand, more stuff will come down. (it's no joke, it's often jammed particle that are making keys
stop working)

If it still doesn't work check if the space bar is at the bottom, it shouldn't be on top. Don't base the fact
that is in the right position by looking at the letter ''O'' or the ''0'' (zero), those are similar no matter the
position. The cable is a good clue, should go towards the computer, not to your direction.

Sebastien, I think it worked!!!! I did the upside down keyboard and lots of particles fell out and it is working now!!! Thank you so very much!!!!! And I hope it will continue to work. Note to self : stop eating as I type because I think some of the particles are food .
