I'm beginning to worry that China's lack of exercise is effecting her numbers

She seems to be slowly trending up but I just can't get her interested in playing lately much at all!!!

I hate to issue a dosecrease threat, but maybe it'll get her to get back to her exercise routine!!

She's been snuggling with mama all day today (which I love) but as much as I'd like to just let her continue to snuggle and snooze, I'm going to have to wake her up and TRY to get her to play soon.

Boomer's idea of exercise is to watch the ball from across the room Actually, Santa Kitty brought him a mouse that squeaks when it's moved and he was quite enthralled for the first couple of days. Now...meh....

Oh I'd love to have one of those running wheels for cats, but most of them use laser pointers to get the cat to "chase" (and make the wheel spin) and China has no interest at all in lasers

She loves that toy...unfortunately she's too smart for it.....she catches the "wand" quickly and holds onto it....kind of ruins the whole point of the game

Hope China seems a little more like herself than in your earlier report. Looks like shes back at the lagoon where she belongs!

I finally figured out a way to get some exercise in for Uncle. Of course it involves food! I give him one bonito flake at a time as I move into different rooms in the house. He will come chasing after me for each bonito flake station. I only do it about 8 times, but it's more exercise than he's gotten ever since he started feeling bad with diabetes. It's hard for me to get him to play so it's the best I can do now.

Hey it's a good start!!! Hope Uncle has as much luck as China has had by adding exercise!! She hasn't lost that much weight, but her insulin dose has come down from 2.5 to .5!

Well, you could take her to the farthest point in your house from the food dish right before snack time and make her walk back. Do it repeatedly before dishing up the good stuff....she'll get pretty ticked off, probably.

A friend suggested that I get a Frolicat for Spunky. Never tried one but looked at them online. I'm leery of laser toys, the other ones looked as if Spunky might decimate it pretty quickly.

Sure hope China shows an interest in playing. Cats make us beans work real hard at finding toys that spark their interest.
