Happy new year kitties and beans! Ours was very quiet - we had a few drinkies at home and were in bed by 9.30pm  Us Aussies are already halfway through the first day of 2017, and I can report that it's a good year so far - I think you'll like it ;)

We've been a bit out of schedule with testing Ivana lately, we've been doing it every Saturday up til the holiday season, then we kind of lost track of what day it was and are testing her all over the place. No matter, she's still green so all is well.

We're planning to brush her teeth for the first time tonight, let's hope the Full Body Armour shop is open today so we can prepare haha. Will report back on the experience if I still have fingers to type.

Here's the Princess looking not-so-regal a few minutes ago - perhaps we won't need toothpaste after all!

Happy New Year! I am so happy to hear 2017 is a good year to welcome so far.:)

LOVE the pic!

After Osha's dental, I began "brushing" her teeth, but I don't use any tooth paste. I just rub a damp wash cloth on her teeth.

HA on the drool! Are you brushing regularly? I was intending to do so after the dental and extraction but he hates it so. Here's a tip from me : don't brush right after a meal. That resulted in an up shuck of his meal....... I need to get back to it, sadly it's been a good month.

Ha! Not a dignified look for a princess or a banana! ;) Good luck with brushing her teeth and let us know how it goes. I never wanted to risk my fingers trying it but next time I get a kitten I might start him/her out young.

Happy New Year to you, DH, Ivana and all your other furbabies! Civie Moo is a drooler when petted by DH. He tells her she's not a dog  Good job on the teeth brushing..you're brave!

I guess a treat would be counter productive, wouldn't it? :joyful:
We offered her a treat and she didn't want it, she went and sat underneath the dining table - I don't blame her!

Persistence is the key. Even if it's just the canines for now it still helps.
Yep, agree. Ivana is very much a creature of habit, so if the same thing happens at the same time every night, she's a lot more comfortable with it. Maybe I should have started with no toothpaste to begin with, or even just opening her mouth and 'poking around' to start with. We'll see how she goes I guess! It's this or potentially back on the juice from bad teeth, Ivana, please cooperate :cat:

Update: Day 2 of toothbrushing, and tonight we did just the toothbrush with no paste, hoping we'll get her used to it and then introduce the toothpaste. She did wonderfully! Well, as wonderfully as we expected haha. Tonight we learned that even though she's clamped her mouth shut, we can not only pull her lips down, but also backward to get to her back teeth. It was awkward, but she seemed to tolerate it (just!) And she's laying down next to me 10min later, so clearly she doesn't hate us :-)
