Crap, crap, crap, crap, crap!!!! Contraband! We were doing so well!!! Ugh. I am so angry at myself. After a long, groggy night and morning. I tested/fed/shot Taffy and he wasn't too interested in his brekkie after all of those snacks last night. Gave Civ Baby a small portion of his kibbles (we are trying hard to switch to wet) and stepped into the bathroom for a minute. Taffy got about 10-15 kibbles. I am soooooo annoyed! Always in the mornings is when I make this mistake, because I am distracted and trying to do too many things.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Oh, well, I have to get over it, can't undo it now.

:bighug::bighug::bighug:

It happens. I know how frustrating it is. It's so easy to have these things happen when we are all sleep deprived zombies. They won't stay in Taffy's system forever and he will come back down from the kibble. My sugar girl ate tortilla chips last night.

Taffy being accommodating...Merry Xmas!!!

Absent all day, but I'm back.
Taffy had quiet day while I ran around.
Light appy, but eating. Needs to go #2. Added a little pumpkin to his food, he eats is but I can tell he is not happy with it. I really wish I could figure out the magic answer to his poopy problems.
+11 = 187 and PMPS = 142
Going down at T/P/S time.
About to see what he is doing at +1

+1 = 156

Poopy problems seem to be some of the toughest problems!!

Santa Paws.....I know what you can bring Taffy for Christmas!! ;)
LOL...
It is frustrating. I wish I could know what the problem is so I would know what to give. I always feel so terrible that I am not helping him correctly, as nothing seems to be the definitive answer up to this point. Poor dude. I want to try acupuncture, but it is costly and logistically difficult.

Happy poo vines from here too..but hope you don't find that under the tree...probably wou,d be ok by you because you'd be so happy to see it but others might not understand....:woot:

156 @ +1 to 119 @ +3
Is this a big drop? Do I need to be setting alarms? How long? I need sleep...

Have you tried baby food squash?
I have not. I can never find just plain squash when I look. I'll look again. It's worth a shot! And you gave canola oil also? How often? I would be concerned about oil, as it tends to disagree with him. Why canola?

Did you ever tr.y the Zener massage?

It really helps a lot of kitties....it's like acupressure
I do massage him along the spine and abdomen daily, always have. And someone had posted a video of their cat getting massage for constipation (don't recall who at the moment). Must be the same or similar. I'll check out the link. Thanks

Oh, LOL...it was Zener (or rather Anne).

Hey there! Just dropping in because it appears that nobody answered your question yet. It's the holiday, so it's going to be pretty lean around here.

A 30-point drop in a couple of hours isn't normally anything to be concerned about. A 119 is a perfectly safe reading, and Taffy would have to cut that number by more than half before becoming a concern. After checking your spreadsheet, it doesn't look like he moves that fast. So I think you're safe to grab three hours sleep or so before you check back.

If you want, you can do what's called "feeding the curve". That involves giving the cat some food (how much and how many carbs is a rule of reason based on your cat's sensitivity to carbs, the size of the drop, and what sort of numbers you're dealing with) to preemptively stall a drop and hopefully flatten out the numbers for the rest of the cycle.
