I have read that the Young Again (YA) food is very nutrient-dense and that cats only need to eat a small quantity of it to get their daily needs met.
I have also read here that switching to YA may cause digestive upsets. I spoke to their customer service department on one occasion (I'm in the UK) I found them quite helpful. Maybe they might be able to give you an idea of whether the food transition might be making Junior queasy? If it's a common issue they may be able to give you tips on transitioning which might minimise any potential digestive issues.
I am tagging Lucy (
@Squalliesmom) because I
think she may have tried feeding YA to her kitties. If I'm right about this, Lucy may be able to give you an idea of the quantity of YA a cat typically eats of this food. Also if she has used this food she might be able to comment on whether any of her kitties had GI issues when eating it.
Glad to hear that Junior has had
something to eat and also that he's getting fluids onboard.
Re slippery elm bark, here's more info from Tanya's site about it (including dose suggestions and how to use SEB):

It coats and soothes the digestive tract. Many members here have recommended it for GI issues, including nausea (though it's not as powerful as the medications for nausea management).
