Hi Everyone,

I was so busy yesterday that I never got to Rusty's condo. He had a good day yesterday, but had to have his PMPS an hour early so I could get to our group's Xmas party in time for the food (the party wasn't in town and the drive to it was about 25 minutes on icy roads in a snowstorm, so I didn't want to go for the nibblies, come home for Rusty's PMPS, and then go back to the party; it was simpler just to miss the nibblies and give Rusty his shot early). He had a bit of a bounce this morning from the disruption to his routine yesterday evening, but has settled down again nicely.

Our really cold weather morphed into above-freezing temperatures briefly and then it got cold again and the rain and sleet turned to sleet and snow. Tonight it is really snowing hard and the temp. is diving down. We had another Xmas party early this evening (the monthly potluck of the mountain club), and I was down for a main dish. So I wound up cooking main dishes for a large group both yesterday (bison chili) and today (macaroni & cheese with veggies in it). Never even got any cookies baked in these last 2 days. Rusty has been a wonderful kitty. He knows it's the Holidays, and so is prepared for disruptions. This morning the weather was so bad that my after breakfast "schmooze" with Rusty lasted 3 hours! I must have needed the sleep. Rusty only slept for 1/2 hour and then went to his perch over the radiator.

Off now to visit a few condos. Sending healing vines to all in need.

Gosh it is cold in your neck of the woods. I have never driven in a snow storm....In fact I don't think I have driven in snow so would be hopeless managing the car. I've been driven in snow and that was scary enough.
Glad dear Rusty is cooperating during the festive season. Maybe he is hoping for some treats!:)

Oh boy....a 3 hour schmooze? Sounds like the purrfect morning to me!!.....even if Rusty did wimp out and head for his favorite radiator early

You about done with Christmas parties? With weather like that, it would take a lot to get me out in it!!

Hope Rusty is planning on making it down to the lagoon tonight!! I hear one of his deputies was slacking off earlier ;)

You about done with Christmas parties?
Not quite: Wednesday is the Winter Solstice and our group will gather to celebrate. Then, of course, there's Christmas itself, and then New Year's Eve. We go to a family Christmas, so are not responsible for the dinner (just a pistaschio breakfast ring that Edward and I make for Christmas Day and cookies etc on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Tonight we were watching Henry VI Part II on PBS Masterpiece and it wasn't over by Rusty's bedtime, so he went upstairs by himself and was waiting for us in his nighttime fuds spot. He certainly is a creature of habit!

'night, all!

Morning Ella, and Merry Christmas to all! :coffee::coffee::coffee:
Vanessa says she is on her way with a wonderful Ethiopian, and an extra special Egg Nog... watch for her! She's the barista all bundled up in a snow suit... :woot:

I can so relate to the busy! This year seems more so than any other. I could not believe that it has been a few days since I have been able to visit here. I hope all is well with you. Rusty is such a trooper. My kitties seem to know too that it is the holidays, and have been very good. even Lola, who, after two days of tree climbing has taken to just sitting under it. She seems to prefer these days the decor around the house, and I have had to repair it a few times.:smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin:

Nicholas turns 6 this Christmas. Where has time gone? He is very excited, and has been telling everyone Christmas is his birthday. We will have to celebrate that well too. Both he and William have been very busy with holiday things, Christmas doings at school for them both. Nicholas had his first Christmas concert. That was fun. We have been to holiday lighting shows, played in the snow on our no school snow day. Trees here have been decorated, including a small one in the room that they use when they stay here. Very festive! They both remain active in swimming, still love it all. Both boys are looking forward to Christmas break, and are planning all sorts of tings for us to do.:rolleyes::):):) Two weeks of adventurous fun!

Enjoy your day. It sounds so busy there, but a very good kind of busy. Merry Christmas to all! And Rusty, keep those festive greens coming. :cat::cat::cat::cat:
