Yesterday

Hi Everyone,

It was -16 degrees F. here this morning. That's cold for this time of year! Haven't been outside yet. Edward is baking Hungarian potato bread for our group's Xmas party tomorrow (I'll be making bison chili). The house is nice and warm from the oven.
Got some cards written and am about to walk to the post office. Rusty is in his perch over the radiator. He's re-discovered Greek yogurt and Edward gives him a spoonful from his cup of yogurt every day at lunch. So far today his appetite for his regular food has been OK, but not great (he always devours his freeze-dried chicken treats, however).

Got to do paperwork this afternoon. That never ends, it seems.

More snow is supposed to be coming tomorrow but it's much milder today than yesterday and supposed to get mild enough that we may get freezing rain tomorrow. Happy I don't have to go anywhere!
Rusty....smart boy to nap in the nice warm spot! But you should eat the foods your mama gives you; not just the treats and yogurt!

I don't know how you can go out in it!
When we were in Vienna it was -10 and I hardly coped.
We are having the other extreme at the moment...another very hot day.

Smart boy! Hope you all stay warm. I'm definiteluy not going to complain about out 32 degree day here. It's a clear day and Mt Raimier, the Casacade, Olympic mountain ranges are all snow covered.
Hope Rusty starts to get his apetite for reg food going soon.

Strange cycle today. I think he may have decided to bounce a little, or just to gradually rise. Whatever. It wasn't a fur shot.
Never got to my paperwork today, so must get started on it tonight.

I agree with the others! -16 is just plain too cold!!! I'd save my mail for April before walking to the post office in that!!

Rusty, being a sensible and very smart kitty, is staying on the radiator where it's warm!!

Mmmmm......fresh bread and hot chili?? Sounds like a wonderful meal! I used to make buffalo chili when I lived in Kansas City and could get buffalo but nobody around here has it. It makes excellent chili though!
