Good Evening, Everyone,

After a day of running around and getting little accomplished, I'm about to throw in the towel and go downstairs to sit with Rusty and hold his dinner bowl. Stormy weather is approaching. The deer know it: there were at least 5 large deer in their "deer beds" in our woods this afternoon. They settle down in the snow and make themselves nice, deer-shaped hollows to insulate themselves. Their hides are very thick already this winter.
I've been chipping away on Xmas cards and started a batch of cookies, but I left them in the fridge. Can't face baking tonight! Rusty has been sleeping all day.

Wishing all a good evening and sending vines to those in need,

Looking great today LagoonMeister Rusty!!

I think we're all in for a much different winter this year than last....they're talking single digits here this weekend! Last year we didn't go into single digits but a couple of times. Do you ever feed your deer friends?

After all dat partying last night, it's amazing that we both made it "to work" dis morning ~ China

Not intentionally. It's not healthy for them and actually is against the law. But they do paw around under the bird feeders for sunflower seeds. They browse on the trees. You can see the "browse line" (how far up they can reach). Trees that have been browsed look like ballerinas. They really like cedars.
We don't have any new pictures of the deer, but here's a photo taken last spring: Rusty and a fawn.
