Carb content of l-lysine paste ?

My guy has herpes and is coming down with a runny eye and sneezing. In the past I have used one pump of the lysine paste . Will it effect his blood sugars ?
If so, any alternatives to the paste?

Trying diet control and don't want the paste to throw things off .
Diagnosed last week - I'm still a newbie.

Have a look at the ingredients listed on the pack to see whether it includes any sources of sugar or starch. If you're not sure, post the ingredients here and someone should be able to help you to determine whether there's anything dodgy carb-wise.

I put my sugar cat & his brother on 500 mg. as per his vet. I bought the human lysine capsules made by Now. I open the capsule & put one capsule
in each cats wet food in the morning. It is much easier than the paste.

I just ordered some powdered lysine via Amazon. None of the local stores had it. I remember back 14 years ago I used to crush the pills with a pill crusher before I had the paste. Glad they make powder now . I'll do 250 in am and 250 pm. That's how much his pump

how is the lysine working out? Wouldn't it be easier to just to mix the whole 500 mg in his morning food? Is he still sneezing & runny eyes. I also put a humidifier in my living room so that he could
breathe better. This year, so far, i don't need the humidifier because it hasn't been that cold here.
