yesterday's condo

Things are about the same with the boy. After a nice green start yesterday, today was pink. I'm telling myself it is just a bounce although I'm not fully convinced. Finally picked up a tree yesterday and he headed for it and abruptly decided that he was really just going for the scratching pad and never even looked at the tree. These high numbers are putting a toll on the litter, I pulled a clump out yesterday that was bigger then he was a a kitten. The boy sure has a big bladder.

So happy it is Friday, and I can try to relax a bit, work this week was a test of patience to say the least. The boy is due for some routine bloodwork and will discuss the trial with the doc then, RVC should be getting in touch with her and hopefully she will be on board when she sees how much insulin he is getting.

Happy Friday and vines and hugs for the beans and kitties going through rough times.

His +4 is pretty flat so hopefully he'll plan to head down today. Glad it's Friday so you can get some R&R time or do something enjoyable. Hopefully your vet gets on board with the trial. Pretty sure they'll want to do a fructosomine test. The last IM vet aka Dr. Rachet was not happy with Doodles on 6u (LMAO) but once the fructosomine and IAA test came back she had nothing more to say.

I hope you can relax this weekend.
Thanks, tree decorating and some mindless TV should help! I'll have to try to get him a little interested in the tree to get a pic. At least I don't have to worry about him eating or climbing it.

I noticed the same thing and am cautiously optimistic that his numbers will improve, if not he gets the R.

My vet said NO cat needs more then 5u until she spoke with the vet at MSU and agreed he needs what he needs. I'd love to get a pic of her reaction when I tell her what Jack is currently getting. I miss 1u once a day, that's for sure.

I'd like you to get that on camera too. Dr. Ratchet also said to stop testing more than at preshot until I told her...."yeah, OK he's been 300's for days and then he's 30...again she had nothing to say. With any luck after the drug trial starts you'll get back to that 1u :)

Think green Jack...a nice beach visit is good too.

What do you think about a small increase Wes? The pink to green ratio is all wrong on this dose, and the litter box doesn't lie. Even his last green was pretty high, so definitely room to go up a bit.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend. Guess we have to look for a tree soon too. One of my favourite Neko memories is her on top of a chair reaching out to a fragile ornament while I was on a conference call 10 feet away negotiating a legal agreement that was part of a multi million dollar deal. Nothing says "drop that phone call and pay attention to me!" like that. Cats and their timing.

I've probably been in denial, but I do think it is time. He had a great run around thanksgiving, but the numbers seem to be getting worse and you have drilled into me "stay ahead of the IAA" ;)
That one green was an odd one and probably a bit influenced by the previous night's R usage. Still confused why the numbers go good for a day, but cats are cats. Today is as good a day as any to go back up, will ponder 29 or 30u for the T/F/S in 30 min.

drop that phone call and pay attention to me!
They have impeccable timing and love to stare at you while they perform their hijinks. I've often wondered if my clients can hear the cat noises while he sits on my lap while I try to fix a server issue. No, no, I'm awake, it's my cat that is snoring:smuggrin::rolleyes:

I hope you and the DH are doing well and appreciate you popping in to check on Mr. Jack attack!

My last job, one of our team members used to bring a pug in occasionally. They really snore! So funny in the middle of a conference call.

Doing OK thanks - we are taking a "snow day" and cocooning at home today. The last couple months have been pretty intense and it's caught up to me with a lot of fatigue. It feels really strange not having Neko's SS open on my desktop.
