OK, let's see what happens today.
Had to (per Taffy) get up before my alarm, and since I was up and going to give in (not that he was really giving me a choice) and give Taffy a snack, I got a +11 first, and then gave just some freeze-dried chicken.
Last night we got a PM +3 = 318 before I passed out.
+11 = 208
Little LC (FD) snack
AMPS 130...interesting
Brekkie, shot (1.5u)
+1 = 104
How low will we go today...????

That was quite a drop into amps, from +11! I think you could say the bounce has decided to break:)

Have you checked him again???
Hope you are planning on getting a +2;)

Sorry, guys, to keep you in suspense. Trying to get other things done in life! LOL I thought I was a slave to the cats before this FD Dx, now I really feel like I am!
Did get checks on Taffy, though.
+1 = 104
+2 = 73
+3 = 70

+8 = 287...boing!
He only had an LC snack btwn +5 and +8
My poor guy's pancreas is not learning to cooperate and chill out!

Yeah, he's probably not bouncing so much from dropping to the 70's as how quickly he dropped

Hey Taffy.....how about a gentle slide instead of a swan dive?

There are 3 main reasons for bouncing.....1....dropping too low...2. dropping too much, too quickly....3. dropping into numbers the cat's body isn't used to anymore (or any combination of the 3)

So (for example) even if Taffy was used to being in the 70's, if he drops too much, too quickly, he could still bounce

Taffy's M.O. seems to be dramatic drops. Any way to help control this better, or just have to ride it out?

+3 = 347
Wow, I was expecting a big drop, or at least a drop...now I don't know what's going on tonight.
I'll have to set alarms to check in.

You sure he didn't get into any contraband??
You might be right about that. I don't think so, as Baby's dish was not empty and Taffy, if given the chance, would eat it all. But it is possible that he got a few when I stepped away for a minute and then heard me coming back. Just not like him to stop before it is all eaten, however.

when they're bouncing at night, take advantage of it and store up on your sleep!
I'll get one more test now and then set alarm for +11. You think I should check any sooner? Taffy just is always full of surprises. The other night when I thought we were high and ok until morning, he surprised me with the AMPS of 43!

I think you should be ok to get some sleep, give him a LC snack, and get that +11, if his number is lowish at amps it would be handy for you to know if he is still dropping o if he is on his way back up.
Night night
