Understand that. I traveled 60% a month with my job so had to resign when Doodles got sick. My savings has taken a pretty big hit to say the least.

Have you decided whether you'll continue to follow TR or switch back to SLGS?

Yes and no....I'd still hold it for a few more cycles
I guess that's the same answer from me - yes and no. :D

It is going to be a busy week for me catching up from being out. I will not be able to run home to check on him. Cannot have a repeat of last Sunday morning during the work week, but I also don't want to lose momentum either. :arghh:

I just have to find a balance that works.

Any advise is more than welcome, maybe we can come up with a plan.

Come on down Gizmo! So sorry that tomorrow you are returning to work. I can relate to the needing $$ for the Sugar Cats. My savings has taken a huge hit too. :blackeye: ( my unemployment has more to due with my mom living with us)

I think I remember you getting up super early so you can get at least +2 on him before you leave which is good. If you see that +2 much lower then you can give some LC or MC food to help slow the cycle down some since you won't be able to go home.

The question is what will be his reduction point...90 with SLGS or 50 with TR.
And how will I know what his numbers are?

When doing a dose increase - do you usually see the immediate result (i.e., the next cycle or two) as far as the lowest drop? Or can it be delayed by 3-4 cycles? I am thinking that Friday PMs may be what I have to do for increases.

@Gussie's mom

I will tell you, this is one smart cat. He has figured out the schedule and sits in front of it now (starting 25-30 min before) waiting for it to turn. The exception of the freeze dry treats he gets on the last turn, he knows he can get those when ever he wants.

It could take 4-6 cycles for the depot to fill on an increase to so an effect. Sometimes less, sometimes more. @carfurby worked full time and followed SLGS. I believe she only increased on Friday's as well.

At first I only increased on Friday evenings until I learned Furball didn't show the effects of a dose increase until Sunday. Then I started increasing on Thursday evenings so I could see the results on Saturday and Sunday, instead of just Sunday. You have to find what works for you schedule and what will keep Gizmo safe.

Thanks guys.

Just have to get through the next three weeks with work then off again. It sucks he only had one chance at an increase (or not, depends on how you look at it).

Then all my sick days, personal days and five weeks of vacation reset on January 1st so if I have to stay home to monitor I will have the time to take a day here/there.

tested twice

Didn't see this coming. How long do you think I need to monitor? I was getting ready to go to bed.:banghead: LOL. So typical of our furbabies.:D

I'd feed a little LC now to keep him surfing and get a test at +5 if you can. That should tell you if you need to get any more tests tonight. I'm signing off for the night. I hope Gizmo slows down and surfs for you.

So sorry it should be +4 not +3.

ECID - Neko has shown action on the 1st through 6th cycles. It was cycle 1 for the last increase, cycle 5 for the previous two increases.

She's been on this dose long enough that if you were doing TR and you could monitor, I would increase. But given how fast she responded last time, I can understand your caution.

I think you can call it a night now.
