Moved this over here! That would be a reduced shot so on your SS log it as BCS with the 1.75 u in the box.
Hope the Buffet is yummy! And not too crowded!

Yep I think getting a +1 and +2 is a good place to start.
A BCS shot is usually a bigger reduction, 30 to 50%, the 0.25 you've educed probably won't impact this cycle too much, but it may make the depot a bit wonky.

At 128 he is flattish coming into amps, so lets see what he does with the +1, will you see a significant food spike???? Only Taffy knows:cool:. (and so will we I guess in about 15 minutes:))

Um, well, no. Taffy scored a 97 at +1
I'm beginning to think he does this on purpose so I will just stay home all of the time and be his slave.

I think it's in the FD manual that all kitties are issued with at diagnosis:rolleyes:

So no food bump and he has dropped, you could wait and see what he does by +2 or you could get more food into him now to stay ahead of the insulin.

With George I would at this stage give him a couple of teaspoons of LC, and then test him at +2.
(I guess he deserves an extra snack at thanksgiving;))

Do you have an automatic feeder? Can you leave food out for him? will he graze or just stuff his face?

Yes. It was good. My boyfriend was happy with it, and it is his bday today, as well, so had to go. We went to a buffet at Knott's Berry Farm. Food was eh, but I got a pic with Snoopy, so that was fun! I did not go to San Fran this year to be with my sister and family because of Mr. Taffy. I miss being there, but was happy not to be traveling on the busiest holiday!

What is everybody else doing for the holiday? (Gill, I assume you don't have a holiday today, as said you are British, and in Spain!)

So I guess I just see what happens at next BG!

No holiday, but we get a double holiday at the beginning of December;)
6 Dec constitution day
8 Dec day of the Immaculate Concepcion, beats being in UK, we don't get holidays till Xmas eve there :).

Yep, you could test him again at +7 just to see if he has a surf on, and make sure he doesn't come down when his MC wears off.

So, what's he doing ladies??? Is he just cruising or going down? Check again at +8 and we'll see? I feel like I barely sit back down and get everything updated here, and then it's time to poke again!

Should he have a snack?
 
Ah welcome to the SugarDance jitterbug! Time loses all relevance to normal life while doing this dance, at least it did to me! The good news is it means Taffy is working that juice..low numbers are healing numbers, keep that in mind! Those numbers aren't that different, how long ago did you give him food n what kind?

Put out food before I left, but he ate it while we were gone, so not sure on timing. Knowing him, it didn't sit too long. It was about 4 hours ago. It was some raw chicken mix that I made with added FF pate (kitten turkey). About 1- 1.5 oz. Not sure on the carbs on that FF but I was out of the chicken. I have not fed him anything since I got home.
 
Reason I ask is it helps tell if his numbers are holding of his own or because they are being held up by food. Since he's held this long without any food boost I'd say your next on the hour check should be ok, no .5 needed, just what I'd do..if your worried give a poke, but I think he's cruising right now..his nadir seems to be a bit all over or at least I can't pinpoint it, you might ask some others if they can decipher a pattern...

Well, he went down, so not surfing, I guess. Taffy seems to plummet late in his cycles. So I guess I need help knowing what to do with that.

I wasn't sure what you meant by " no .5 needed", I think you mean checking at the half hour. Do I need to check him now at .5 now that he is getting low? I hope that giving him a snack was right...

Id mix a little bit into the RadCat, trying to steer as gently as I could, the 20 min test will tell you what you need to know about steering..if he's still dropping it wasn't enough carbs. Each cat responds differently.. But about a large tbs of radcatbwith a good size drop of honey was what worked for Gus to gently apply the brakes as opposed to,slamming them on

High carb, mixing the radcat with honey will boost the carbs in it you are fine, test again in 20 min please, I'll be watching!
More honey with the rad cat equals higher carbs..you can take it from LC all the way up to HC.
Do you have any of the FF gravy lovers in house?

NOt doing Rad Cat now, made my own chicken mix w/ supplement mix. OK, so how much honey would you mean. I gave about a 1/4 tsp. So too much. Check again in 20? So now.
