HAPPY GOBBLE GOBBLE DAY!

11/23 thread

AMPS 268

I got a +6 (307) last night but didn't update thread or SS until this morning

Hope kitties enjoy their turkey today and the beans also.

I haven't posted a video in a while. This is a really good book (that they are making into a movie). Short clip about the story. It is about a cat that saved a man and a man that saved a cat - based on a true story.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I hope Gizmo keeps heading down and gives you a nice surf today.

I just recently heard they were making that book into a movie. I'd like to see it. The actual cat is supposed to be in the movie.

Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you have a blessing filled day. :bighug:

I listen to books. I used to be an avid reader but don't have the time anymore :arghh: so I listen to them on my commute and while running errands. This is a fairly short book but heartwarming. I have over 300 books in my audible library.

It's a really sweet book, read it some time ago.:)

I wonder when Gizmo is going to get of the trampoline? Staying flatish going into amps.

I take it you are not going to increase tonight? (you were considering it until yesterdays cycle, if I am not mistaken)
On TR you would hold the dose for at least 10 cycles once kitty starts seeing green, so tonight would be cycle 10(ie the count starts from when you took the reduction to 1.5). You have got some margin to take him up a notch, but seeing as these are the first greens that he has been seeing it may make sense to hold him a little longer (two or three cycles), just to see if he will bring his overall range down on his own, he does seem to be clearing his bounces pretty quickly at the moment.

Happy thanksgiving.:)

I don't know. I guess I will wait and see what he does today. It looks like he may be coming down and it is a low(er) AMPS that he has had in a couple of days.

Happy Thanksgiving :bighug:

Happy Thanksgiving Lizzie.

Gizmo's spread sheet is starting to look so nice! Keep up the great work!

Thanks for sharing the video. Never heard of it but I must live in a vacuum. The only books I ever read were business focused (so boring). Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving and Gizmo continues to slide down today.

Yay!! Go Gizmo!
I have that book! It truly is a beautiful children's book! How fantastic it will be made into a movie!! Thanks for sharing!
Work that juice gently Gizmo!

I think I it came out of England several years back..same musician guy same cat he nursed back to health, same story...it's illustrated thomwith photos of the actual guy and cat at the back....it's at work, I read it to my kids, will have to try to find it. Just looked and don't see it on Amazon but they do have a children's series of Bob books now about that cat

Now he's just teasing.

The one I read wasn't a kids book, it was a paperback, bought it when I went on vacation, it was published in the UK, they probably did a kids version with the illustrations. No pics on mine:(;). I think he wrote another book after the original one as well, can't remember what that was called.

Wow really nice
I am so ecstatic! I just wish he would hold these numbers during the PM.

What do you think about holding this dose (we had talked yesterday about a possible increase tonight). I am thinking giving it at least another day to see if the cycles will even out - but I don't know.

Yes, I would definitely hold the dose and see how long it takes him to get back to green again. Today was lovely.:D When you are thinking about a dose, ask yourself - do I like the nadirs he is getting on this dose. 70's don't leave much room for an increase.

Loved the video - I too must live in a vacuum. But I've been looking for ideas to keep me busy while on the rowing machine. The idea of audio books is a good one.

Thanks. Wish he could do these numbers for the PM cycles.

I love the audio books. They now have so many and all the new release and top sellers. They download to your phone so you can listen anywhere! If you want any suggestions let me know.

Thanks Lizzie, I'll take a look at that website. At the moment I've got some lectures downloaded from iTunes university but expect that will get old soon.

How low is too low to shoot (full dose)? Right now I am about 30 min away from PMPS and about 40 min away from shooting.

History:
AMPS 268, +2=257, +4=123, +5=102, +6=75, +7=86, +8=89, +9=91, +10=107, +11=105

I am glad you shot the full dose. The answer to your question is "it depends". For people using TR who have experience shooting low numbers and who will be around to monitor, have plenty of strips and HC, we don't shoot below 50. Less experienced people on TR will work there way down in comfort level to lower numbers. You did shoot a 59 a few days ago. ;)For people following SLGS, the recommended no shoot number is 90.

Looks like Gizmo might be keeping up his night time reputation.

I don't understand why I get such anxiety in the evenings. I think it is because I am getting tired? Maybe? I don't know but I sure do freak out in the evenings. I hate it.

I don't understand this at all. Nothing changes from AM to PM - it is just strange.

I hate losing my sleep too, I know I can't think as well if I don't get a good stretch of sleep. When Neko was on Lantus, I used to regularly take a small nap in the late afternoon before PMPS so I'd feel fresher. And then there's the fear of sleeping through an alarm - been there, done that.:bighug:

Happy Thanksgiving, Lizzie! Great cycle for Gizmo today.

I used to always get anxious about low numbers at night when we were first here. I think it was fatigue and worry that I'd miss a test because I was so tired. But even after we had some time under our belts, I wasn't anxious anymore at lower numbers at night, I was just thankful when they came up a tad so I could sleep.

Some cats are lower at night, some not, and some, like my Gracie, flip flopped just to keep it interesting!

Hope you can take a deep breath and rest.

Thank you for the kind words. I am headed to bed. I hope I can sleep even though I am exhausted. :bighug:

Hope you have a good rest.
George started off doing his dives at night, which I prefered, because being on the other side of the world it meant everyone was up and I felt safer with everyone about to help me.:)
After a while he started coming down in the day too.
Nice cycle this morning.:bighug::bighug::bighug:
