Highest AMPS since the green drop 4 days ago with the 1.75U dose. Let's see if he comes down like he has the past few mornings.

Have a great day Beans and Kitties.

Raining hard here this morning.

Sorry about the big bounce
I am not sure if these are considered bounces or the Dawn Phenomenon @Doodles & Karen talked about. Since he comes down so nicely by +2 (usually).

11/17 Gizmo PMPS 241, +1=320, +2=312, +3=250, +4=185 , +5=158 -

Guess we will see what he does today. This morning we all got up a bit earlier and poor Gizmo had to wait about 30 min before I could TFS. Poor baby thought he was going to die of starvation waiting. :cat::D I am not sure if that affects the BS test (stress?).

I bump him up by about 10 min, time wise this morning. Going to slowly get him back to the 4:30a that is the usual schedule while I am working. So over the next few days I have to move him back (up) by about an hour and since we were up - I decided to go ahead and start today.

I was looking at that last night.
Here's where another difference between TR and SLGS comes in. With TR if you don't see green by tomorrow night at PMPS I'd increase him back to 1.75 which would be the 7th cycle since the lonely 92 the other day. With SLGS you'd hold this dose for 7 days regardless then go back up if needed.

I will probably do that. It will provide enough time before going back to work to get him evened out with the dose if I do it then. I put a note on my SS.

I have a question - when I did the last dose increase - do you think he dropped farther than the AMPS test overnight? I.E., was he in danger? If you look he was very even all evening (yellow) - up until +5 (and then he got the +6 snack). Nighttime testing is just not good for me. I just can't stay awake much past +5 (especially being an hour later than "normal" testing.

I don't think he did drop dangerously low, I think he started to clear the bounce at some point after the +5, and was still dropping by amps, the nadir for that cycle may well have been amps. See how the test you got at +0.5 was about the same as your amps, if he had been on his way up already by then you would have seen a food bump by that +.50 and +1 the am insulin shot would not have been affecting those numbers, so we would have expected to see them go up if he had already been heading up by amps. So I don't think you missed him going lower.

If he had gone lower in the night and in fact that amps was him rising we would have expected to see at the very least a considerable food bump, and possibly a bigger bounce if he had gone 'dangerously' low.

Crazy Gizmo.. he just doesn't know what to do.

Doodles was very bouncy for a few months and then one day he "snapped" as we call it...it happened on 12/9/2015, his bouncing stopped and he became tightly regulated. The more Gizmo sees green the more likely the "snap" will happen or of course he can just bounce all the way off the juice.

Are we ok to go out for about 1 1/2 hours? I need to run a couple of errands. If not, I guess they will need to wait.

I think if you give him a snack, a couple of teaspoons of LC, he should be OK. for the next hour and half, testing him as soon as you get back.

It's late in the cycle, so I don't think it's likely necessary, but he is clearing a bounce this cycle sooo, another option would be to give him a teaspoon or two of MC now as a snack instead for your peace of mind.

I have been too wrapped up in my own life issues to follow you and Gizmo and will defer to the veterans, but I would love to have that number to shoot.

Surf safely Gizmo. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Looks like he' bouncing of those greens again/ or maybe the fast drop early in the cycle/ or both those things, paws crossed he clears it quickly.
