Ok, civie Moo will not stop chewing on the artificial Christmas tree. Is there anything I can spray on it keep her from doing that? Lemon juice or something of such?

How about something like a gizmo with a motion sensor that makes a noise and releases bursts of compressed air? For example:

It's a non-toxic solution. (Never tried it.)

Another similar gizmo is this but be sure to research the type of gas it uses to make sure that you are satisfied it is safe:

Otherwise maybe ask your vet for a recommendation on a feline-safe spray repellent (e.g. something they recommend to stop pica cats from chewing on electrical cords and such).

Be sure to check the ingredients, Karen. It would be great if you could let us know how well you get on with the spray.

I have a spray called Keep Off dog and cat repellant, by Four Paws. It stinks some when first sprayed, but seems to dissipate. It has worked to keep my brood off my desk, where someone was peeing on my keyboard:arghh:

Hologram of a tree on the wall. You enjoy Moore can't chew it.
That's why we don't have a tree :eek:Fritz loved to climb and bat off the ornaments. He'd climb and lay in the branches when he was a kitten.

The "Bitter Yuck" by NaturVet is working so far and there is a little girl named Moo who is not happy about it :joyful: She's determined to find a piece and when she does I just go spray that spot. Knock on wood the beans are winning.

We gave up tinsel or anything like it years ago because we had a cat who tried to eat it. For a couple of years we tried only putting tinsel on the top half of the tree but it looked really silly and I was still running around picking up tinsel that had fallen where he could get it, and pulling strands of it out of his throat! Now I have naughty Candy who takes all the ornaments off the lower branches, lol. At least I don't have any Christmas tree climbers! Squallie and Khoji both like to sleep under it. :)
