Mama is a very happy bean....still fighting a bit with this stupid GI bug but it's better than it was!

Got DM to PT today and to get her hair done too but she was one tired puppy by the time we got back to her apartment!

Still not sure what to do with her...depending on the day, she either really wants to stay where she's at or she really wants to go into the nursing home.

I'm thinking that she's not going to make it to Branson for Christmas this year either....We have reservations for Dec 6-9, but I don't see her being strong enough to be able to go by then:(

What's with this weather?? Yesterday was 78.....today was 48....and tomorrow's supposed to be 28!! I understand that summer has to leave sometime, but does it have to happen within 48 hours?o_O
 
It's great to see China back surfing the lagoon. I hope you get over your GI bug soon. Sending prayers for you and your mom. :bighug:

That's one of my #1 fears....having her pick up a bug (any bug) that saps what little strength she has left....but that's also a good reason for keeping her out of the nursing home too

She's the only reason I go....She and dad went every year so after he passed, I wanted to give her something to do around the holidays instead of sit around feeling sorry for herself but this year I think she's too weak. I can take her to the venues, but she still has to be able to walk from the curb into the building and then into the seats.....and back again....and I just don't see her being able to do that this year

The shows down there are incredibly packed....I'm not sure how I could do it because I'm the driver....I don't think they'd like it too much for me to park out front as long as it would take to load her into a wheelchair, get her in, get back out and park the car, get back into the building from 1/2 mile away ........etc..etc..etc.

I had thought of that too but I just don't see it working....I may call a few of the shows and see if they have any ideas though
 
Can you get a handicapped placard? Surely they have parking that is close enough for wheelchairs.

China, you are back to your awesome self! Just what Mama needs, with all her other worries. Good girl. :D
