Gave Katie her shot, tented the skin as normal, but my hand didnt follow my eye and I felt like it was a little too low when I injected her. I went ahead with the shot because she gave no indication I had hit muscle or anything, she didnt meow or act like it hurt.
There was a little blood in the syringe after the shot. This has happened before, gotten a little pink tinge, and I know that means you probably hit a capillary, but this time the blood was more red.
I guess my question is, if I had hit muscle, or blood vessel/vein, she would have reacted strongly right? Because it hurts?
Just neurotic...hoping I didnt screw it up. Her PS numbers were low this morning too, so I was nervous about giving her the full dose anyway, so the last thing she needs is to absorb it quicker.

Sounds like you might have hit a small blood vessel but this doesn't necessarily hurt more. Her lack of reaction appears to say that. If you're worried about absorption rate, etc. maybe monitor a little more closely if you can?
