I have a new job with some new hours,if i give her the shot at 715 am then come home at 830 and give her the shot would that be ok,or is it better to miss the shot all together and start fresh the next day? If i do give her the shot late 75 min and work in 15 min early every shot getting back to the normal time is that ok for once a week ? Thank you

It can depend on the type of insulin you're using. The depot insulins like Lantus and Levemir are best dosed at very close to 12 hour intervals. There's more leeway if you're using ProZinc/Vetsulin/Caninsulin. If you have to shoot late you could decrease the dose slightly because the PM and AM shots will be closer together. Alternatively, you can work your way back to your normal schedule in 15 minute increments as you described above. Skipping a shot isn't the best choice.

I use lantus,i would give her a shot at 845 tom night then 830 the next morning then 815 that nite

A 15 minute change in time shouldn't be a problem. You might want to post your question on the Lantus forum to see what people there have to say.

With Lantus you can readily make a dose change of either 15 minutes for each cycle or 30 minutes once within a 24 hour period.

Yea the main concern i have is the 75 min late shot,is that better than missing a shot all together? I thought i heard somewhere if you miss the time by 15 min then skip the shot?

Better to shoot late than to skip. The only problem some people have with shooting late is it throws off their schedule for the next shot, but since you are changing your times there is no problem. You want to avoid skipping if at all possible, unless of course the preshot is too low to shoot.
