When we last left off, Jenks was 54 and on a trajectory that would likely carry him into the 40s, all within the fasting period with AMPS right around the corner. A veritable perfect storm of stuff not covered in the manual!

We carbed him up with enough time before AMPS to see an effect. He responded well to it, doubling from 54 to 110 and holding there. Plus, we got him to eat a generous portion of 12% for for breakfast before making a dosing decision. The 110 provided a sufficient buffer so that even if the gravy started to wane, the carbs from the breakfast food would kick in and give us a safe overlap. Also, OH would be home all day and able to monitor.

So we went with a full dose.

He did great through the first quarter of the cycle. But as usual when he has a low, late nadir, he exhibits an accelerated rise later in the cycle and there doesn't seem to be anything we can do to stop it.

As for OH, I've always used it to mean Jenks' "Other Human". I recall seeing that abbreviation early on in my time here, adopted it, and have used it ever since not knowing that it was unconventional.

Sorry for keeping you in suspense @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey!

I appologize for not noticing that before. I guess I either: A) Don't visit your condos enough or B) Am not very observant. I think I should add C) Both of the above.

Regardless of the ride Jenks is taking you on, you and OH appear to be equipped to handle it well.

I apologize for keeping @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey in suspense!
Apology accepted. ;):p

Oh my! I hope I haven't been confusing people all this time. Everyone must be wondering, "OH? Is that an exclamation?" "Maybe they're in Ohio?" haha

I just picked it up early on from someone else here (yeah, that's it, shift the blame to someone else) and it stuck.

It was always Jenks who was most important, not me or the other hooman, so a generic acronym just made sense to distinguish between me and not me.
